If you have the required 25% in only 24 states and you have 25% in FCT you're the winner

It is without any doubt equivalent to a state
The question really is whether 2/3 of 37 is interpreted as 24 or 25

There is other case law in unrelated matters in which courts have determined that Abuja is to be treated as a state

Despite all the scheming, they forgot to read the Nigerian constitution is English language lol. It's not like we didn't warn them.

For APC to win on the first ballot now, they will need to convince Nigerians to accept results where the Electoral Act was violated in many places and also convince Nigerians that the constitution written in plain English that requires the candidate with the highest votes to also get 25% in FCT actually means something else lol.

With this results I believe we will be having another election. Either a run-off or a redo.

The draft-men gave that particular state a name. They cannot say in 37 states because Nigeria has 36 states and the FCT. That's the name.

Open your constitution section 299.

In ordinary language it's "Even though we are not calling it 37 states, every place we have said 36 states and the FCT, the FCT will be regarded as a State".

But from my count PDP have 25% in 19 states. LP have 25% in 17 states and 25% in FCT.

I have seen some people ask if it is the party that won the most states or the party that got 25% in the most states. Because LP are currently winning more states than PDP. I think it's the party with 25% in most states but needed to double check tbh
