For those who were old enough, June 12 riots were sparked off for the following reasons:
1. A yoruba Muslim won the 1993 elections.
2. The results were clearly won by the SDP
3. The person in question had some skeletons in his closet known to the western powers.
4. In Nigeria he was considered a hero and JAGABAN.
5. HE WAS ARRESTED, JAILED AND DIED IN CUSTODY.
6. HE NEVER SMELT THE PRESIDENTIAL VILLA.
7. RIOTS FOLLOWED AND THAT OPENED A NEW CHAPTER IN NIGERIA.
HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF.
