Burna Boy real name is Damini Ogulu and he was born on July 2, 1991. He was born in the seaside of Port Harcourt, and he is a native of Rivers State and south-south regions of Nigeria. He comes from a mixed ancestry as his mother is a Yoruba woman named Bose Ogulu. His father’s name is Samuel Ogulu. Burna Boy comes from a very creative family.

He has one brother and he also have one sister named Romani Ogulu, who is a scientist and a designer. Her grandfather is Benson Idonijie, a veteran broadcaster, music critic and former Fela Kuti band manager. In addition, his mother is the former empress of Kalakuta, one of the Fela Kuti dancers.

His parents raised him in the Christian faith and spent his early years in Port Harcourt and Lagos City. After learning how to make beat with FruityLoops, Burna Boy recorded two mixtapes, Burn Notice and Burn Identity, before signing a record deal with Aristokrat Records. Under this label, he released his first hit song tilted Like To Party in 2012, which brought him into the spotlight.

Like To Party is the lead single from her debut studio album, L.I.F.E, which was released on August 12, 2013. The project includes other top singles such as Run My Race, Yawa Dey, Always Love you and Tonight.
