Tonye Cole, candidate for APC in Rivers State's governorship election slated for March 11 has once again proven that he is a man that is underhanded and knavish, and as such, Rivers people are warned about his two-faced tendencies, and should therefore not trust him with their vote as Governor of Rivers State.

It has been noticed that Tonye Cole deleted the Facebook message which congratulated Asiwaju Bola Tinubu on his victory in the recently concluded presidential election. He published the message on the verified page of his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).

It is speculated that he did this because his congratulatory message was received with criticism from a section of social media users who are largely believed to be loyal to the Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Mr. Peter Obi.

The post was deleted about one hour after it was published. Tonye Cole's quick action in deleting the post shows that Mr. Cole is willing to do whatever it takes to please the people he needs votes from and doesn't care about his own party's values. This means that he is likely to change his positions in order to please the people he needs support from, regardless of the consequences.

However, realizing that the post may have offended supporters of Obi's LP and will cost him the expected votes, he deleted it. This led to questions as to whether he was dissociating himself from Tinubu and APC's victory in the presidential election.

Tonye's post had the potential to be seen as pro-Tinubu, which he perceived could alienate those who are pro-Obi and are against APC's victory.

By deleting the post, he was essentially trying to dissociate himself from any possible political affiliations and salvage his chances of getting the expected votes.

The man simply wants to win his election. What do you want him to do, congratulate a Tinubu whom he knows his electorate truly don't like? His electorate remain more important than any other person at this moment.

That was just him being a politician, and playing the game of politics.

Even Tinubu would not be offended (Tonye might've even put a call through to Tinubu, before taking down the post, who knows?)
They understand the game.

Main objective; secure the bag first.
After that, they won't send the people again.

He knows the mindset of the people in Rivers State right now. In fact, there is a plan to ensure that any result that is not uploaded to inec's server immediately after counting and declaration of results @ the polling units, the returning officer in charge of that polling unit is in trouble @ that moment.

This time around it won't be business as usual.

And those electorates of him didn't know that he ll still go n kiss Tinubu so far they are from same party. That's why you must vote individuals and not politics of hate. Tinubu commited no offense yet they criminalized him.

Lets just be honest with our selves, Beatrice is a capable woman but Tonye Cole is the best and sensible choice. She too she should join hands with him. Abeg lets not let fake news steal our future for this state.
