The stakes are high and the political gladiators battling for the soul of Lagos will leave no stone unturned come 11th March, 2023. This is a 'war' between the Labour Party and the All Progressive Party Congress.

If anyone thinks that Lagos will fall to the opposition the second time must be daydreaming.

The initial loss of the ruling party to the LP was a wake up call and blessing in disguise. It was better it happened during the presidential election which has no consequential effects to the victory of asiwaju.

Tinubu is unperturbed neither is the sitting governor losing sleep over the upcoming governorship election in the State. The APC has learned from their previous mistakes.

Gbadebo is unknown to Lagosians even though he came from a family who has no record of achievements either politically or otherwise in Lagos. The fact remains that the devil we know is better than the angel we don't know. Lagos is not a no man's land and this is what the real owners of Lagos want to prove this weekend.

Lagos has a strong historical background and the omoluabis will never allow non Lagosians to dictate who leads their state. It is an affront and insult because this effrontery can never happen in other regions in the country.

While it is true that not all yorubas in Lagos supported the presidential ambition of Tinubu, however they cannot throw away the baby and it's bath water. The yorubas in Lagos have çome to realise that non Lagosians are at the fore front of those trying to impose a governor on them calling their city a no man's land. What an insult!

Of course Tinubu and Sanwolu are two different persons. The thousands who didn't vote for Tinubu will surely vote for Sanwolu. There's a great joy in the Southwest right now over the emergence of Tinubu as president elect. It was the victory of Obi in Lagos that suddenly woke Gbadebo the Yorubas sees as an IPOB apologist. If he claims to be a Lagosian, where's is family compound many are asking.

If anyone thinks that the APC will lose such an important election in Lagos must have his or her brain rechecked.

I am a Lagosian from a very popular family on the Island.

The victory of Sanwolu is sacrosanct and will come as a rude shock to many.

God bless the yorubas!
God bless the omoluabis!
God bless governor Sanwolu!
Eko oni baje o!

Like Azikiwe and the others after him failed.. this Chinedu too will fail on March 11.

They have seen the Dangote refinery, Eko Atlantic city, Lekki Deep Seaport and many other projects in Lagos, reason they want to use Chinedu to take everything by proxy.

Yorubas should try and travel to South East and see the ugly state of things there.. till today Enugu is still a glorified big village despite having a state status. Niger state is x2 of the 5 South East states put together yet they can't achieve anything despite getting x5 of what Niger state gets.

Omo ale will always act like an omo ale.. won ma n gbe ile ti awon obi won ko ta ni.

Please stop this. No-one is taking anything. Its healthy for another part to win so we know the actual amount being stolen from lagosians. All de elopmental projects will definitely continue, at a cheaper price if I may add because project inflation in lagos is extremely high.

And if you like call me Igbo. You think lagosians are happy with the messiness in lagos currently. You didn't talk of the aboundamve of agbero that makes transportation very high in lagos. Collecting tax that they spend on wasiu and actresses.

Lagos is in the sorry mess it is today because of unchecked influx of outsiders including Igbos flocking into the state in their thousands.. how do you expect the state to be orderly when the Igbos are trooping into the state in droves yet they won't allow Lagos get "Special Status" state bill passed out of their hate and envy for Yorubas.. In my knowledge of migration, people tend to migrate from a backward place to where they'll get greener pastures.

Let noone deceive you, Lagos is the goal for Igbos, not like they care if you exist as a Yoruba.

If Chinedu wins by mistake, it will get even worse cos they will now empty the South East into Lagos and ckoke Yorubas to death.

What you don’t know is that even most Yorubas in Lagos want a change of government. I don’t know why you think the Igbos are the ones who really want to vote GRV.

Ask every foreigner in Lagos to stay home on the 11th of March and you’ll still be shocked that BOS won’t win.

For me, I think BOS should be returned but the will of the people will prevail I’m afraid.

Wow it amazes me how low some people stoop when trying to discredit someone. So The Rhodes Vivours have no achievement? But I'm guessing the present governor's family has right?

The Rhodes Vivours are true lagosians. It's time for true lagosians to take back their land from the backwards hinterland yorubas who know nothing but hate and bigotry.
