I have at most 7m, and I'm planning on moving to the USA but also having doubts.. Please someone should give me a piece of advice on weather to stay here (Nigeria) and run a business or relocate to USA. I just do not want to make a move that I'll regret for the rest of my life  . Freo: Location matters a great deal when launching out to start a business. Understand this, it's neither Nigeria or the USA, your prosperity lies. Fundamentally it's you, the very proof that you have Capital is not the reason you start a business. It is when you have become the kind of person that business needs to succeed, it's start by you being valuable, I'm an engineer by design, I design both military and civilian grade products, value talks about your degree of usefulness to what people need and if they are willing to part with thier money for what you are offering, secondly you need to understand the market you want to penetrate, what returns will potentially come and if such profits is enough for sustenance, thirdly are you so good at what you do that you can demonstrate competence and lastly do you know how to manage relationships and are you a person of integrity. When you combine the above factors, you can now decide where is best for you to start, but more importantly where do you have your peace of mind and what's your gut telling you, if you don't have peace, check it and be sure it's not fear for trying something new, they're different. Cevat: Don't contact anyone here unless you want to loose your money. Back to the topic. I'll advice you to remain here in Nigeria. Interview dates for 2023 have all been booked, so if you're planning to travel out it would be until next year. How sure are you that your money would still be intact by then or that they'll even give you the visa. Just start up business here in Nigeria. If you're in Lagos you can open a standard car wash or standard bar or both, those two businesses can fetch you a reasonable income pending when you'll be ready to escape from this shit hole. 5 Likes |
