This may look like a metaphor but in reality... This is the true reality of how life plays out.

Take it or leave it, it is what it is that owning a landed property will always confer on you a certain level of authority...

Yes, not just financial authority or social recognition alone, but the political leverage at that.

And to truly recon with my financially sagacious brethren from the southeast, Igbo kwenu!, Igbo kwenu!!

They have pretty much understood the power game of what owning a landed property means...although, a lot of political experts would argue that Igbos may not be politically visible as regards to politics in Nigeria. I guess that may not be totally true as to what is obtainable in Lagos at the present moment.

The true picture on the ground is that they are pretty much changing the narrative of Lagos politics... This isn't just because of their economical prowess, but largely due to the landed property many of them have laboured to acquire over the decades.

While we understand that the battleground must have been dominated already in some economically viable locations in Lagos, there is a pretty larger portion of the landed property at good locations in Lagos you shouldn't be left out of in the scheme of the equation.

As cosmopolitan as Lagos is and the fifth largest growing economy in the world as it has been internationally recognised, It won't be heard of or funny when our unborn generations are asking why didn't we set our footprint here in this naturally endowed state when the opportunity was right here steering at us. Trust me, there is no tenable excuse to give in terms of the flexibility and ease of owning a property in these highly developing locations currently at the moment.
