Four days before the governorship and House of Assembly Elections, the leadership and candidates of the Accord Party in Lagos State have declared support for Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s re-election.

On Tuesday, the Lagos State chairman of the party, Dele Oladeji, said that Accord and its candidates decided to support Mr Sanwo-Olu and other APC candidates in Saturday’s elections in the state’s interest.

Mr Oladeji said the party would have supported Labour Party’s governorship candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, but for alleged unsavoury statements of some state Labour Party (LP) members.

“We have made our choice to adopt a gubernatorial candidate – someone we believe, not by any sentiment or any other thing but from his precedence,” Mr Oladeji said at a meeting of executives and party members.

He said Mr Sanwo-Olu had shown responsiveness, sensitivity and immediate actions to duties.

“We have pledged in our letter that we are mobilising all our party members and executives across Lagos State, as well as the voting public to cast their votes for and re-elect Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for a second term,” Mr Oladeji said.

He said all the party’s structures and canvassers would work for the APC.

According to Mr Oladeji, the party in Lagos State supported the presidential candidate of LP, Peter Obi, in the February 25 presidential and National Assembly elections.

He added that Accord was not supporting LP in the gubernatorial election because LP failed to respond to Accord’s overture.

In his remarks, Peter Obayuwana, a factional governorship candidate of Accord, said he was stepping down to work for Mr Sanwo-Olu in the interest of the party and Lagos State.

“We want this state to move forward. That is why we are stepping down our ambition,” Mr Obayuwana said.

Accord’s candidate for Lagos Central Senatorial District, Samuel Adigun, said: “We know what Sanwo-Olu has done in infrastructure development and youth empowerment.

“It is commonsensical to allow him to consolidate what he has done.”

O ti zeh! Lobatan for Mr Chinedu the Yoruba hating tweep wink

Those who promoted Mr Chinedu from a failed PDP governorship aspirant behind DaKoVa to join lp late, screened him and selected him to replace the original candidate of lp , Prof Awamaridi, are Igbo, his fellow Igbo who do not speak Yoruba.

If they were Yoruba they would have personally felt disrespected by his inability to understand and speak Yoruba and his hate tweets insulting the Yoruba.

The truth is that even if he changes his name to Aromire, with those bile tweets against the Yoruba, he is and remains a Chinedu to the Yoruba. Hence the rallying of the Yoruba for Sanwo Olu across all the parties despite that Sanwo Olu is the best man for the job.

Sanwo Olu.... All your enemies shall become your stepping stone

You gave Lagos more projects than Zulum, and Wike combined

The same enemies of Yoruba land that wanted Shagari over Awolowo, Tofa over Abiola, and Obasanjo over Falae shall fall

Awon Olote shall fail by the power of eledumare

They must have collected money when they endorsed Peter Obi too.

Governorship and state assembly elections are local. The dynamics would be different from the federal election

Customer daada, you are back after jinxing everyone you supported. You have jinxed this one hands down again.

We do not have anything to prove to you, you are the outsider . You are the one who should be minding Igboland elections before you guys produce another set of T.A Orji, Ugwuanyi and Ikpeazu again then come here to lament profusely over your serial bad luck with leadership.

The population of Lagos Colony was analysed into 'Yoruba' and 'Non-Yoruba' tribes:

1. Eko tribe had fallen from 57% in 1872 to 23.6% 20 years later.
2. Popo or Egun tribe was 15.85%,

3. Other Yoruba groups
Oyo - 11.6%
Ijebu - 11.01%
Awori - 9.26%
Egba - 6.05%
Ijesha - 4.32%
Egbado - 3.63%
Ekiti/Efon people - 1.76%

4. Non-Yoruba groups
Nupe/Tapa - 1.86%
Hausa - 1.86%
The Kru - 1.37%.

Please look well the census data above if you are ipob and lp mob. Do you see any Igbo there? This is a part of Lagos you and his pro Ipob attempting to foist a Yoruba-hater Mr Chinedu on the Yoruba in Yorubaland do not know. E ti shi!

It wouldn't have mattered if both elections were held the same day.

Sanwo-Olu would have lost as LP had been severely underestimated in the last elections.

free Igbo people, they are partaker of development in Nigeria 🇳🇬 as a whole. Your hatred to them will only affect you mentally. Igbo people exercise their civic rights responsibilities in Nigeria politics and they are seeing the results well. You keep on blowing lies and propaganda against them, they keep on swearing higher in Nigeria politics. Keep on hating them.
