🇺🇸✈️🇷🇺American airlines have complained to the White House about competitors and are asking them to ban flights through Russia.

They received an "unfair advantage" — they make flights between the USA and Asia faster and cheaper, besides saving fuel. - New York Times

Now American airlines have stepped up lobbyists and are demanding that the authorities force other carriers to "fly on the same routes as their American competitors."

The map is a bonus for curious readers.

Deja Vu bïtch. US and their gang of puppets drew first blood by sanctioning Russia first and restricting Russia from using their airspace. Russia only responded in kind and you're here complaining. Sanctioning the country having the largest lamass has to be the most delusional thing I've ever heard in politics. You don't sanction a country that big and a major supplier of goods to those around, it'll come back to bite you in the as$. Get on with it and continue flying. Russia too busy now.

If you divide Africa landmass into two, Russia is bigger than half, with space to collect additional Nigeria's landmass x2, so tell me which sense it makes to sanction such a vast area on earth?

Lagos to London is about six hours by flight, but from Moscow to Petropavlovsk is at least nine hours by flight, and you're still in Russia. So tell me, how can you sanction such a huge country?

All the whole 28 EU countries will fit inside Russia at least four times, and there is no way you can fly to Asia quickly without passing through Russia, how I ask again, are you mad for sanctioning such a country?

Head na head. But it's common sense that a tiger's head has more value and resilience than a goat head. You feel fly sanctioning Afghanistan, and you think you can do it to Russia, a civilisation older than you Anglos. I think say them get sense sef.

They should suffer the consequences of their sanctions. You dialogue with adults, not unilateral sanctions.

The US don't think before they act, they only think after they have acted.

The WEST, and by extension, USA never really meant to sanction Russia. All they wanted was scare Russia enough to stop them invading Ukraine, especially since they knew how painFul the other series of sanction on Russia felt.
But they failed to realize that over the years, Russia sanctionProofed themselves.
So when Russia refused to backDown, they increased the sanction again, and again, and again, until it got so high they ran out of sanction so much they even had to sanction Russian Cats and Dogs + private citizens home and abroad.
In their bid to do all those, they failed to realize they were hurting themselves more than the Russians.

Funny enough, other countries are watching and learning and soon enough, most (if not all) countries would be LESS vulnerable to SANCTIONs.

Exactly. You didn't think of the repercussions and the competitive advantage you would lose when you embark on your suicidal sanction forray. America is one hell of a dying empire that wants to drag everyone with it to its death.

The west has always wanted to destroy Russia by breaking it apart into small controllable pieces, just as they did with Yugoslavia (now broken into seven small countries). The idea that they wanted to scare Russia with sanctions is not true, they have planned it in advance and waiting for the trigger.

The war was a perfect opportunity to unleash all their fury, excluding military means, since Russia is a nuclear power. There were maps online already, especially on Reddit where these white supremacists are discussing how Russia will be carved up into smaller countries.

The issue here is this. The US is a hegemon, and hegemons are different from a superpower in the sense that they tolerate no other powers on earth. It can not co-exist with other powers. It is either a country that is weak (like Africa), a vassal (like the EU, Canada, Japan, Korea, Aus, NZ), or an enemy (China, Russia, Iran, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc).

For example, Russia and China shares one of the longest border on earth, are both nuclear powers, located in Euroasia, and border other countries that have nukes, all in one place, and they coexist in peace because none is a hegemon.

India, N.Korea, Pakistan, Russia, and China all share borders with each other, and have nukes, none are bothered by the other. But the US will never tolerate any country having nukes in the western hemisphere, It is known as the ´Monroe doctrine´.

So with the above in mind, it becomes a necessity for it to never tolerate any power from any corner of the earth, that is capable of challenging it. This is why Yugoslavia went down, and all the wars it fought all around the globe. Russia and China are the last enemies, then their reign on earth will become everlasting.

So no, the sanctions were just waiting to be activated. Currently, Russia is the most sanctioned country on earth, with at least 5k sanctions. The US wanted this war, this is why they refuse Ukraine to implement the Minsk agreement and trained the Ukrainian army for the last eight years.

Politics is a dirty business generally, but the politics America plays, even the blood of Jesus cannot wash it off.

The US and Russia has been hostile with each other since the first half of the 20th century. after the Iron curtain was raised following the aftermath of the second world war both nations were not in good terms diplomatically.

The US and Russia which was the spearhead of the USSR then have engaged each other in a proxy war which many described as "the cold war" and the US was known to be the major agressor. There have been interventions and counter interventions by the forces of both nations in warthorn countries in the past.

During the Korean war the USSR supported the North Koreans by supplying them with heavy weapons, while the US was deeply involved in supervising the actual conduct of war operations on the side of South Korea.
The same thing happened in Vietnam and all these was done to contest military superiority and maintain multipolar balance of power.

In 1962 the US and the Russians which was part of the USSR then almost went to a Nuclear war against each other during the Cuba missile crisis, when the Russians planted two Nuclear missile in Cuba and one of them was targeted at Washington DC while the other was to hit New York. What frightened the US the most was that each of these missiles was ten times more powerful than the Hiroshima bomb and the US was within the range of striking distance, but JFK saved the situation using diplomatic solution.

In 1979 the Soviets invaded Afghanistan and the fighting lasted for 10 years, the US supplied the mujahedeen resistance fighters with weapons such as stingers to down Soviet Aircrafts, all these was done to frustrate the Soviet in their quest to achieve total dominance in Afghanistan. In 1980 the US even boycotted the Moscow Olympic games held in Russia and prevented the athletes from participating, The Soviet also reciprocated and refused their representative from taking part when the US hosted the Olympics games four years later in 1984.

The US believing the Russians were only powerful because it was part of the Soviet union, did everything possible to see that the Soviet Union collapsed. After the collapsed of the Soviet union in 1991, the US enjoyed some form of uninterrupted dominance in world political and military affairs from the 90s till middle 2000s, and during these period there was a heavy Russian silence.

From 2006 there was a strong transformation from a rejuvenated Russia who was ready to contest any form of oppositions by all necessary means. Sensing that the Unipolarism they had been enjoying over the years is been threatened, the US started looking for a way to suppress the Russian uprising. the Ukrainian war was just an excuse used by the US to try and make the Russians powerless by using sanctions, but it seems the sanctions are now working against those who imposed it and the Russians are even getting stronger.
