Several videos circulating online show thugs preventing people from accessing polling units by claiming they belong to a particular tribe, with some reportedly targeting people of Igbo origin. In one incident, a popular online influencer and YouTuber, Sisi Yemmie, and her husband were among the victims of such intimidation tactics.

Furthermore, there were reports of violence, with the police allegedly shooting and killing one of the thugs who resisted them. Overall, the election in Lagos was characterized by a high level of unrest and violations of the voting process.
