Georgry: If you are not obsessed with Igbos you wouldn't bring it up on unrelated thread. But no one needs to you this, as you keep selling your land for owambe, time shall come when even Bini or igala man will be Lagos governor. Simple. Maybe 20 maybe 30 but you can see it's coming |

ote author=Georgry post=121884435] Oyo is no man's land. Leave Southwest politics alone, face your own region. Why are Igbo so obsessed about Lagos elections? Why is it that 90 percent of people crying over the Lagos election are Igbo? Is there really an agenda? Are there Yoruba crying all over Internet over the outcome of southeast election? What is the course of this desperation? In an election between 3 Yorubas which is obviously imperfect, what is the business of the Igbos with it? Why not allow the Yorubas to sort out their differences? So many questions begs for answers.[/quote] Was it only the igbos that voted in Lagos, that made APC lost in the presidential election? Since 1999,how many INDIGENE of Lagos as been the GOVERNOR? Kindly answer my questions. |

Georgry: Even though your comment sounds like that from an ignorant point of view... I would however try to respond to your question.. Firstly I am not Igbo so you don't get unsettled. Due to the insecurities in the country especially since the past decade , Lagos has experienced influx of people from other parts of Nigeria including from neighboring countries, amongst these people , the Igbos seem to be more .. unlike most from the Northern part , Igbos don't only reside in Lagos , they have their investments here , pay taxes , rent some of the most expensive apartments etc in other words adds immersly to the Lagos GDP . Now , it's an open secret that the Igbos are the ones being disenfranchised especially in Lagos .. with so much evidences An igbo person is not contesting in Lagos but because of such tribal alienation, it's too insensitive for anyone to start making tribal comments to make a caricature of the Igbo tribe and their interest in Lagos ... Igbos have never had time for politics in Nigeria, and as a matter of fact they don't even know how to play it ... But note this today , as the Igbos are learning the naija kind of politics, in a very near future, they would be masters of the game and when such tribal sentiments arises again .... I can tell you Nigeria would be history ... As long as many people are not aware of the devises of desperate politicians that use tribe and religion to divide the electorates, it would be difficult to correct the injustices in the land .... Finally, unless you were born yesterday... You should understand that the problem with Nigeria is not any of the tribes but such insensitive posts as this which is full of dislike for an entire tribe ... But let's face it ...... assuming any tribe is the issue with Lagos or Nigeria for that matter .... While not let's challenge any incoming president to ensure the sea ports are working in a place like Onitsha , then let Enugu airport get that international status .... THEN LETS SEE WHAT WOULD HAPPEN devoid if politics at least .. 1 Like |

amp01: The presidential election is different from the governorship election, Many Yoruba voted for Obi in Lagos, you guys paid them back by saying Lagos is a no man’s land and by overestimating your population and influence.. For your second question, is it Igbo that will liberate the indigenous Lagosians?? Leave Yoruba and their politics alone, you’re here for business, face it!! |
Re: Seyi Makinde Wins Oyo Governorship Election 2023 With Over 563,000 Votes by amp01(m): 8:15pm On Mar 19, 2023 |
Georgry: Am not Igbo for ur information. Lagos is a no man land,is it after the presidential election that the word,Lagos is a no man,he heard it or before. The Igbos in Lagos cannot be compare to the yorubas in Lagos. How did the Igbo influence the election? |

kuntash: In bold. This election is the only time since 1999 that the Igbos have taken interest in the political/election process of Nigeria. And in less than 6 months, it was like a thunderbolt that unsettled the deep-seated political parties and their Northern and southwest operatives in the parties. |
