It was totally disappointed at the level of tribalism and bigotry displayed by the Yorubas in this election. The lessons of this election should serve as a very interesting lesson to Ndi Igbo. It has clearly revealed whom your true friends and whom your worst enemies are. I have heard a lot of vituperation, some which centered on the fact that Igbos want to take over Lagos. For goodness sake how can Igbos take over Lagos when the LP candidate is more Lagosian than many of the self acclaimed Lagosians. What the Igbos really wanted was a fair Environment devoid of thuggery and corruption, a good environment for their business to thrive. But some tribal and hate filled Yoruba interpreted it as a call for Ndi Igbo to take over Lagos.

When it comes to the Diary of a Yourba man he sets in tribe and religion over competence and qualification. An action that is quite injurious to Nigeria's democracy. Take a look and the Northern Christians and North Central , they have consistently displayed that they can be trusted and Reliable in a true friendship and political alignment and I think Igbos should now know whom their friends are.

Furthermore Igbos should start rethinking how they can speedily start relocating their business down South East and some part of South South where hostilities are at zero level. How can Yorubas display such level of hatred towards the Ndi Igbo and hope that Igbos will fold their hands and maybe laugh with them.

You are talking competence, tell me one governor in Nigeria that meets the expected standard of competence.

Let's just say Lagos makes so much revenue that gets stolen, and the Yorubas that voted along tribal lines are dumb. Can you compare just the area of waste management of Lagos State, that has less land mass and more population with any state in the East.

Not that I care who become Nigeria's President. But write up like this is helping to alienate the Yorubas that voted Obi, the first true third force that emerged from Nigeria

So you mean the constitution of Nigeria is faulty or maybe the Nigerians winning elections outside Nigerians are Mad or maybe the India Man that is the PM of UK is also Mad.You have failed to rise above tribal bigotry and religious sentimentalism. So you mean an Igbo man who have lived in Lagos for 35 Years cannot partake in the policical space of Lagos

I never knew that Edo people like igbo this way until this Election I apologize to any Beni people I insult before I never knew is yeruba is using Edo Monica to instigate igbo and Beni people.

I just make one Beni guy my best friend here in foreign land I will do what ever I can to help him stand by his feet.

I will never get anger against any Beni guy no matter what the provocation thanks.

That's way I will pay them back for their support for igbo.

Why IGBO WOMEN SHOULD RECONSIDER MARRYING YORUBA MEN

it's not my intention to further add to nauseating tribalism seriously emerging in lagos state. its obvious that the instigators of these tribal propaganda and the illiterates that were willing tools; playing to their tune is now raising questions for the igbos especially our daughters,
since one nigeria isnt plausible in lagos state please reconsider the children you will want to bring into this country especially if married to a yoruba guy in lagos

i can bet you that many who were offering their condolence to Davido's late son would still be same people that will attack his son if he was to contest in an election in lagos state after all Davido is a pdp supporter which further buttresses my point

dear igbo women i ask what is the future of your children if married to a yoruba man because more divide could even start from the family.

if the inter marrying of a yoruba guy and igbo lady havent reduced the unearthed bad blood between these two ethnic groups in this post election, when and if the final line is drawn and you were to choose sides where will you stand ?

your children will be tagged omo ale...half strangers in their father's land and can only be taken seriously if they are put in the political way which is the corrupt structure existing in Lagos

dear young Igbo women..what is the future of that your child with a yoruba man ? if you can bear it for whatever reason you are entering that relationship i pray you stand strong

we failed as Nigerians from moving forward from our past, Nairaland failed a Nigeria as well..there is nothing new, no fresh air for a greater tomorrow rather its business as usual

This post was to only shine a light to one of those consequences caused by the ethnic bigotry we see today,..how will business continue, what plotting will arise, who will kill who, how will children of various tribes see one another, etc the seeds we sow today we produce these consequences mentioned and even more

i wave the one Nigerian flag no more

See the way you're mentioning someone's father's father and pouring out unnecessary emotions out here all to what end?
A man should be more logical than emotional. I'm not sure you're even an indigene of the said Lagos to start with, secondly at what point in time did Igbo people gather and agreed that Lagos is no Man's Land? This statement has been around for over 30 years, even from Yorubas too. Seun Kuti did recently. Igbo people in true democratic just wanted to put an end to the thuggery and extortion going on in Lagos which affects their business and life. I just think LP should have used someone more credible than GRV. APC saw a loophole in him which was so obvious from his emotional immaturity and stupid tweets which they capitalized on by using this lame "No man's Land" to push their propaganda, infiltrated Obidients movement in disguise and carried full hatred and bigotry against the people y'all hate unnecessarily. Our true enemies are the Northerners NE region especially but no it's Igbos that's the problem. Thuggery has been fully employed aided by tribalism n hate creating monsters that 'll come back to haunt us. Will extortion and thuggery end after using them to get Power? No way! Corruption has been fully enthroned in Lagos. There's truly nothing special about Lagos despite all it has enjoyed even before colonial rule look at where it is. Remove Igbos investment from Lagos n u see it's no better than than Osun state. Lagos just happens to be the hub of business in Nigeria, Deep sea port is the main reason Lagos is infiltrated, if the stupid leaders down East can come together to create one in Onitsha and Portharcourt Lagos will be decongested immediately and won't suffer from traffic gridlock anymore which is good for the entire country but the North don't want this either, Igbo business men end up putting all their investments in Lagos and ignore their home cos Lagos is where their business is. Nigga I understand you n y u think d way u do but if we are being truly sincere we all have strength and weakness. Igbos are industrious and a bit rebellious, Yorubas are administrative and a bit selfish, Hausa are docile and nice, Hausa's lost their lands and women to Fulani's cos of how nice and docile they are. Fulani's are normadic and wild in nature, all the Killings happening in the North are by the Fulani's not Hausa's. I'm an Igbo guy and I speak Yoruba so fluently you won't even know I'm Igbo, my girl friend is Yoruba too, and I also speak Hausa but not fluently. I served in Katsina so I've stayed with them and seen the difference between the Hausa's and Fulani's they're not the same. So all this tribalism in the guise of they want to take our land is just a lazy attempt to cover y'all wickedness and evil that 'll still come back to haunt us all. It won't ask where you're from or what language you speak. In the end politicians especially this present ones in power only care for themselves and family. Mc Oluomo son is in UK enjoying good education and quality basic amenities while y'all are here struggling for a non existent low degraded basic amenities. It's is well o

Exactly! I'm an Igbo guy and I speak the three languages. Yorubas inherently hate Igbos and insecure whenever they see one, I don't know why this is.
As a boy who lived grew up in Lagos and schooled in both Lagos and Ogun I can tell you what i suffered in primary and sec sch from some of them, I eventually won all of them over as I was both brutal and brilliant and things got better when I became fluent in Yoruba but you see Hausa they're very nice. So nice. I served in Katsina, bro they're so nice to both Igbos and Yorubas and they don't discriminate. Their civil service is filled with Yoruba Muslims, I was surprised when I saw many Yorubas their some of them are married their women too. I felt so comfortable and welcomed I didn't even know when I started learning Hausa. I can tell you I made my first million with the help of an Hausa man who was so honest, he helped me do Tomato and Onion business. All I did was just give him money, he did the rest and took them to Bodija at Ibadan to sell them and then reported back to me. He even proposed giving me one of his daughter, lol. Very beautiful and tall slim girls but they lacked education. Hausa problem is Fulani's that took advantage of their niceness and docility. An Hausa man don't care about power, just give them farm and women that's all. They don't even rule their states and never ruled Nigeria either, Fulani took everything thing from them including their women. Hausa's fear Fulani's. Fulani's are so wild and Normadic, they don't value life. Almajiri is a Fulani system not Hausa. Fulani used religion to mess them up, took away everything from them and installed Emir's in place of their seriki's. Hausa Christians in Katsina are marginalized badly bro, even in their settlement. Hausa's are the Igbo man's friend only that We misplaced their identity for Fulani's which is a tactic Fulani's came up with in the name of Hausa-Fulani. An Hausa man 'll never claim to be associated to be associated with such description. I feel for them honestly. They are a conquered people all in the name of religion. It's a pity
