Dear OP
Thanks for this Wonderful Write Up,Now Most of us here are reacting to Impulses based on our political differences and this shows what we have towards each other,Why will you claim I'm Tribalistic for voting for my prefered candidate because the person is a YORUBA iNDIGENE ,Have you forgotten we voted for Jonathan against Buhari ni,Did you forget that we all Loved Peter Obi IN 2019 because we believed in Him but Hated His Party Then.
See I'm A proud NIGERIAN AND AN AFONJA as you do call us,but why will you allow the presidential victory in Lagos make you a BEAST,you guys came up with different words and actions that is saying something else,You guy flaunted your ignorance online where you have power and say things that can't be said to Mad person and he wouldn't react, why will you guy say and i quote "LAGOS IS A NO MAN'S LAND" why will you say you will take the land by force, Why will you say you will cause troubles because you are online and you expect us not to respond or react.
you guys claim we are tribalistic yet indigenes and non-indigenes pay same rate for same thing here in Lagos but in the South East it's Otherwise,Yet we the one's With Problem.

see me i'm not seeing one nigeria again because you people are greedy and selfish,During this election anywhere you won it was free and fair, any where APC wins it was fraudulent.
i don't belong to any PARTY but i BELIEVE in IDEOLOGY

Garbage write up. I guess you are oblivious to the type of provocation and tribalism being propagated by Ibos on this website. It didn't start with the elections, it has been going on for year.
The Ibos tried to discredit Tinubu more than they tried to promote Obi, still you are oblivious of this.
Please enough of this hypocrisy.

Kk there are two problems I discover we Nigerians have 1. Assumptions 2. Jumping into conclusions

You saw a post, you haven't taken time to deligently check the writers history or comments (it's non of your business) you assumed and jumped into conclusions I doubt you read through the write up, I've spent over 10 years on NL and I mentioned that I've seen it and it's distestable, it was in small measures now its blown out of proportion. Do you know how many threads or comments I have reported, do you know I personally emailed the mod and seun on this (no you don't and it doesn't concern you)

I am not pro Igbo, pro Yoruba, pro hausa or pro any other tribe I am pro Nigeria and pro peace and very very anti bigotry no matter who is giving it or who is receiving it

Well said. However it didn't start last year. It predates 2015 elections. Its the only way Tinubu seizes power. It's works because he exploits what is already inside of us. Igbos return the hate but not as much as its dished out. This forum is highly complicit directly and indirectly in spreading this hate due to its faceless nature.

Meanwhile saying afonja is bigotry by the way, you are crying wolf while you do same and say I should condemn them, so who will condemn you?
Re: An Open Letter To Seun, Moderators And Others by TheEndless: 8:12pm On Mar 20, 2023
Adeebiwa09:
Good afternoon, I think for the sake of clarity I would introduce myself. I am a bona-fide Yoruba man, I'm not even the kind that is from different states or towns both of my parents are from the same LGA and town, different only by compound (known as agbo-ile or agbole in Yoruba).
Also I am pro-obi (for the very long time), pro-sanwo olu (I attest to his development of Lagos and his vision). I say this to state my neurality and my desire for Nigeria. Before I became pro Obi I was pro Osinbanjo. I believe primarily in the man not the party, that I'm pro Obi didn't mean I voted for the Labour Party in the governorship and state assembly members. Like I said said the man not the party.

I have seen a couple of threads that are spot on and very sensible on this platform, two among them is the one that's titled my Yoruba shame and one that speaks about the bigotry and tribalism rooted in the foundation of our country coming out in this election. I strongly commend those patriots. God bless you.

Now I have watched keenly the tribal war that started on nairaland from last year, which has existed in some measure but became aggravated with the election and even worst after the presidential election until now. I have seen topics that are so inhumane and derogatory that I can't imagine that a living human being would say such. I saw things that I can't say to my worst enemy. People like Bayo Onanuga and FFK statements are not like Yoruba. Omoluabi is not a title its a state, that Yoruba people stand for and by what is right. Awolowo and others would be turning in their graves at the level of bigotry that we have dished out in recent times.

It's so so shameful that we are the second or third most religious country, I am more than sad and disappointed that Christians and Muslims alike have forgotten the teachings of the Holy books about love and tolerance. When you see us drag countries like Ghana and South Africa online you'll think we love each other or that we love Nigeria, some of us are not worthy to sing the national anthem or pledge. It's shameful, anyone who cos of his tribe or political associations can speak vile of another human being is not a human but worst than an animal, its a beast. You should be ashamed of yourself, that you went to school but don't have sense. I can't imagine how you can live with yourself.
Can you bank with a bank that's only Yoruba, would you stop a doctor from operating you because he's hausa, will you not watch a football match because an Igbo person is sitting next to you? What pride and arrogance that you think you can live alone without any other tribe, how can you get onions without aboki, or petroleum products without apkos, or palm oil and spare parts without chukwudi, every part has what it supplies that makes us indispensable.
Therefore I call on Seun and the moderators that this is a time to come hard on any operator or thread that promotes this madness by deleting the thread and banning, Nigeria cannot develop with these kinds of attitudes and action and nairaland should not support it by been silent.
Thank you

P.s. Your contrary, illogical and/or insensible response are inconsequential. I am more pro Nigeria than I am pro party or pro man, you were first a Nigerian than you were any tribe or religion, you can chose you religion and even change it, you can learn another's language and culture because you didn't know yours or grew with them but you can't change your gene that's where Nigeria is.

I should be angry but I'm sad, you have so much hate in you and I pity people around you. Next time you want to do anything find out if the person is an afonja mozelem pig. Ask your landlord, your Co tenant, your doctor, the person you want to do business with, the church you attend. Kai I honestly feel sorry for you.

Naturally the bible says answer not a fool according to his folly, then the next verse says answer him so he won't think he's wise in his own eyes (you can even still say I'm a Muslim even though I just quoted a verse of scripture, I understand it's the hate) Jesus saved you but I don't think you accepted his love and salvation. Please don't bother going to church it's a waste of time. Like I said Nigerians suffer from the syndrome of assumption and jumping into conclusions (I'm a minister of the gospel of Jesus BTW if you need to know check my threads and comments via my profile)
I've spent a long time on naira land and can't count the number of post I've reported or people I've reprimanded so that you don't know that I have and you come here that I'm doing damage control speaks volume of who you are. I've been observing the bigotry most of which were by certain persons but were only reported here Eg Dayo Onanuga but when I see someone who is suppose to have sense create a thread like the one that is calling fellow Yoruba omo ale because they have mixed parent I reported and send them a mail unfortunately seun and the mod hasn't pulled it down.

My advice to you is what is captured on the book of James, be quick to hear, the slow to speak, be slow to wrath. I believe it will help you

Lolx hahahahahaha exonerate myself from what? Will you come beat me in my house? Or there's a benefit that you give to me that I won't get?

I stand by what I believe, your opinion is inconsequential, I won't shift ground cos you are having a contrary opinion.

But for the sake of reasoning with you, prove everyman what manner or sort he is. Go and check my profile and see if there is ever any thread of bigotry or I'm forked tongued.

I can generally ASSUME that you are Igbo and a christian, I will speak to you based on the later cause I am unapologetically one, is Jesus proud of me as a Christian based on this. The Lord allowed contradictions of men and didn't revile back, that is what is expected sir/ma
Both Igbo and Yoruba are at fault in all these tribal nonsense so what's the point in this epistle making it looks like Yoruba is at fault? When we are ready to get sense , no one will blame any one, we will all take responsibility of what happened and forge ahead.

Oh you have no idea! Would you really trust any of these people with anything giving the past few days?? I’d rather die than be treated by a ‘doctor’ of A.Fonja Mozulem pig extraction!

Maybe you are one of the good guys, I’d never know. Maybe you’re a pastor but even your pastors were complicit in the silence while they watched these whole shit unfold.

That being said. It takes the folly of a few to disrupt the joy of the many. This is what racism brings, there are no good guys or fence sitters in this shit. You’re either A.Fonja or not, no matter your disposition.

Anyways… Shalom!

Bro Igbos are not to be pacified they are only crying now because they have been put in their place, past few years you go think Yoruba people cane dey their hand. They have insulted Alaafin, Pastor Adeboye, Oba Akiolu, Pa Fasoranti, Ooni of Ife, Gani Adams, Osibanjo and so on before they descended on Tinubu, see how they brought out all their arsenal to fight Tinubu, the North didn't attack Tinubu but our fellow southerners called him sick and old, called him drug lord, called him incompetent, I mean if you think igbo would have voted Osibanjo if he was on the ballot then you don't understand where you are really at with the Igbo people...
See the main thing is Igbos can not afford to see Tinubu become president after 8 years of OBJ and 8 years of Osibanjo as vice when they haven't done any... Maybe you dont understand maybe you do but it's really deep. They think it would mean that Yoruba are bigger and more acceptable and or superior than them... If you think all the attack against Tinubu was really about Tinubu then you don't know whom and what you are dealing with, okay Tinubu is a drug lord, he's too old and he's sick but what happened to Sanwo Olu that they want him removed? They went all out, went to polling unit with dogs that's against INEC rules because it's a must that they vote out Sanwo Olu, they murdered a Yoruba guy at a polling unit, shot him point blank, they beat and humiliated cops and yet they are the one claiming victims... Igbos are wicked people don't fall for their emotional game... The tempo is good.... They know their place, they are now denying they called lagos a no man's land..
See Igbos brought tribalism into Nigeria politics since Buhari became president, I learned from them that all northern leaders are Fulani and that Hausa have been conquered, I have never been called afonja by any tribe but Igbos, they brought Yoruba Christian and Yoruba Muslim into Yorubaland over politics.... I never hear Yoruba Christian or Muslim before.

See the Igbos don't love you and they never will... The only reason they are all over your land is because they need the economical opportunity that their region lack and you have... If they told me a day will come that Igbos will cry online over tribalism I will never believe it... They have collections of photos with people with tribalmarks they that they use to depict Yoruba and other memes to depict afonja, they go as far as insult Oduduwa and your whole lineage as Yoruba what the Bleep are apologizing for now?

I did more than you, ask helinus he can bare me witness, nothing wey this igbo people no call me... See until Igbos behave themselves Yorubaland go hot well well for them na fact..
