I wish the Golden Eaglets well in their next outing...
Guy na our prayer indidi need oo. It's no easy for you to go out play for months because of injury and come the same . Dr will always advice u to becareful so you incur a life injury that will not let you play no more. The young man must be very careful with his style of play .
And remember football has no pension, its earn as you play basis . After retirement nothing. After all since is long lay off injury that could not let him play the final qualifying match with Ghana ,someone has been in that role playing for his club

Over hype Ndidi once rated in the region of £60m, but now I dont think the dude is worth £2m.
Ndidi still remains the engine room of our midfield, I don’t think we have any better midfielder right now… Alex Iwobi has improved greatly with Everton, but his form with the super eagles has been on and off.

Obviously I cannot vouch for anyone else’s age…
But then again probably neither could anyone of us here on Nairaland.

Nevertheless, we had someone born in the US (so we know his birth certificate is legit) in the Eaglets 2017 (or 2019) camp who failed the MRI test, which should really not be surprising because MRI testing is NOT an age test, but rather essentially a bone-fusion test (based on the presumption that wrist bones fused at about 18 years old - a scientifically dodgy thesis given that human development is not identical, sometimes not even among siblings).

Accordingly, given the unreliability of documentation in large swathes of the Third World (as it’s not just an issue in Nigeria/Africa, but in many parts of Asia, the Middle East, Latin and South America), the seeming compromise effectively reached by FIFA is to consider any genuine U17 players who fail MRI testing as outliers, and thus settle for a rule that only accommodates the presumptive ‘normal’. Of course, there are those who argue that the rule is discriminatory given the general differences in physical characteristics (and therefore development) among races.

PS: Btw, Ndidi was in the 2013 U17 (with Iheanacho, etc.), not 2012.

Abegi, quit chasing shadows in derogation of substance…
My comment was on MRI testing and not really about Ndidi nor any individual.

Nonetheless, if you want to split ephemeral hairs…
Nope, you didn’t mention “camp” at all! Camp is NOT the team, and he was on the 2013 U17 team!

So how can you say he was not in the team in 2012? That's obviously crap.

This is what I wrote and it's 100% correct, while you are wrong

He had no response. Can you imagine, he couldn't even address the issues. He started writing some nonsense about personalities.

Anyway, the fact has been established. Wilfred Ndidi was in the Golden Eaglets in 2012 as I wrote. That's all that matters.

This has descended to comedy.

Nduka Ugbade was captain of the Golden Eaglets team that won the 1985 FIFA Under 16 World Cup in China. He was also a member of the Flying Eagles squad that came second in the 1989 FIFA Under 21 World Cup in Saudi Arabia. He was also part of the team that won the 1994 African Nations Cup in Tunisia.

Many journalists pleaded with Coach Clemens Westerhof to take him to the 1994 World Cup, so that he would become the first person to feature in all 3 grades of the World Cup, but he was dropped from the team.

He was the assistant coach of the Golden Eaglets from 2011 - 2013.

Wilfred Ndidi was in the Golden Eaglets team in 2012, but he was dropped because of the MRI test. He joined the Flying Eagles the following year.

Ndidi visited his former coach and the boys at the Golden Eaglets camp in Abuja this afternoon.
This is a great thread! It's good to see these guys again on YouTube. I feel nostalgic just benchmarking remarkable events that happened back in the 1980s with these soccer-playing folks.
