When we were growing up, we thought Nigeria's problem was the north due to the incessant religious riots there. I was always surprised when our elders said we should rather be wary of Yoruba people. What I saw in Nairaland in 2015 made me begin to align with the elders small small but in practice, I never had animus towards Yoruba people. My best mechanic was a Yoruba guy. Even most of the guys I hire are Yoruba. But you see what happened on Saturday eh, I've learned to keep Yoruba at arms length. It's even so confusing that there was no sane elderly voice that spoke against it. Hmmmm....our elders have always been right. I do hope Ndigbo gets smart and start moving their investments to Igboland. These people have tasted blood and it'll get worse.

The good news is that no one knows who would survive the 4 years. Many that shouted sai baba were killed by herdsmen, bandits and kidnappers sai baba APC brought. Hopefully, Igbo people would have sense and start sending their investment back home make poverty begin hammer una.

Same way we were warned about Igbos! It swings both ways. I guess we all never listened to the wise counsel of our elders

You mean the same Igbos who attacked Oore without provocation until the Yoruba army dealt with them?. The same Igbo whom only the Yorubas returned their properties back after the needless civil war, why are Igbos so fixated on Lagos?. Say what you will we voted LP in numbers which y'all couldn't do with another party in the presidential elections and if you mention one nonsense Ojukwu be reminder that we also didn't vote Sowore a Yoruba man 4 years ago. In 2011 we voted GEJ. But when a visitor aspires to take over your house and spit it to your face, you'll fight back. APC had a strategy to campaign based on sentiments and it worked. Why are you guys angry ??

I am Igbo but I never had this lecture. Growing up in Lagos can teach you to be more accommodating of other tribes.

Although I do not support voter intimidation and suppression in other to win an election.

We all have our differences, it is time to kill the prejudices.

Victim mentality once again. I thought you were going to install Chinedum and then depose the Oba of Lagos.
What did your elders have to say about it? Folks who cannot back their words with action.

In all fairness, how many polling units did you see anyone's skull broken in Lagos?? Lagos has close to 15,000 polling units. How many did you hear incidents?

The truth is Igbos have always made bad political choices out of sentiments. When Zik could have become a PM, he jettisoned it to become an ordinary ceremonial president because he hated Awolowo, forgetting Lagos gave him his first seat in parliament.

When we voted GEJ and Igbos dominated that govt, what did their people gain? Olisah Metuh alone had to return 400m.

Yorubas even gave Atiku a whole state. We were strategic, y'all got carried away thinking SE and SS alone would vote abi? Ekiti is the largest christian state in SW with almost 90% been Christians, they still voted BAT against the propaganda that he chose a Muslim ticket. We dwell on facts and not lies. No doubt the Yoruba played the tribal card. Same thing Igbos played to support GRV. APC only had a better strategy. Forget every other nonsense.

In your own case you want to keep Yorubas at arms length?

As an Igbo Igbo man, I want 'country lenght' lenght, let everyone have their own individual country, wether Oduduwa, Arewa or Biafra

Whats the point of us all being in Nigeria and fighting all the time? To what end? Or is anyone deceiving themselves that peace and progress will come from such level of disunity and confrontation?

ScamHunter,

You must get the credit for telling the truth about what your parents told you about Yoruba. Any Igbo that denies it is a pure lier.

When your parents told you not to trust Yoruba after Yoruba welcomed you into their land, Yoruba were told that every stranger that comes at dawn must be fed, clothed and given a place to sleep before dusk.

Then you wonder why Igbo hate Yoruba.

This Election proved the point we have always known. Yoruba voted for Obi but Igbo voted for no one but Igbo. Very Clannish.

Obi worshipped like - Jesus Wept!

I see how you feed the strangers. First feed the children of Yoruba men born by non-Yoruba women. I mean feed your own flesh and blood first before feeding strangers. Okay?

Igbo are not like you so there's nothing I'll say to make you understand that Igbo didn't vote Obi because he's Igbo. Your very clannish mind would never let you understand that.

You supported Osinbajo, but immediately he lost the primaries, you switched to Tinubu.
This means you were driven purely by tribalism
