What was the interview process like? Any link to Nairaland thread on this would be appreciated.

I want to apply for an M-1 student visa for Phlebotomy medical studies. (Vocational training)..
I understand one must pay for the full tuition for the program firstly, receive your i-20 before applying for th visa.

Any tips and suggestions on the visa interview will be appreciated.

3 things you want to prove without expressly saying so.

1. That your intentions to study are genuine.

A.Do research on your course and have a very well thought out reason why you want to study that course. What benefit does the course bring to you short term and long term.

B. Do research on your school and why you chose that school out of other options. What stands out about your school choice compared to others you spoke to.

C. Know the name of your contact person and where you will be staying during your studies and how often

2. That you intend to come back home to Nigeria after your studies.

A. Explain what you are going to do with the course when you get back home.

B. Show that you have strong social and economic ties here in Nigeria. Lands, houses, wife, child, aged parents are examples if these. Incorporate them in your answers

3. That you can afford your stay. School fees and living expenses.

A. Use your verbal answers to show this.
B. Provide supporting documents to show liquid cash like bank statements, bonds stocks.

All the questions that you will be asked will be indirectly structured to determine this three things.think and reflect deeply and have answers and back'up answers for them.

Smile, sound confident and don't talk way too much. Answer what you are asked and keep quiet.

I can give you a sample answer to combine all three key points in to your first answer but you will have to pay for that. I no dey give free info again.

This brings memories to my mind. God be praised.its been a beautiful journey to the place where I sit as I type this

Thanks so much for this. Really appreciate. By the way, I heard there's no open date to book USA interviews with embassy currently in 2023, how true is that?

If true, how can us applying for student visa book for visa interview in 2023?

Would appreciate if you have any tips and suggestions on this

The last I heard. You will book and secure any date first, then apply for priority date. I know it was so for F-1, I don't know for this one

Certainly, I can share some insights regarding the M-1 student visa application process, particularly for phlebotomy classes. In your quest to pursue phlebotomy studies in the U.S. and apply for the M-1 student visa, you might find it valuable to explore different resources. The website is a dedicated platform that offers a wealth of information and resources related to phlebotomy classes and education. ePhlebotomyTraining offers listings of accredited institutions and schools that offer phlebotomy courses across the United States. You can search for schools in your desired location and explore their offerings. If you're interested in becoming a certified phlebotomist, the website may offer guidance on the certification process, including exam preparation and requirements.
