ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants for Admission into the programmes must satisfy the following conditions:

FIVE CREDITS 'O LEVEL RESULTS WITHOUT JAMB-(NON-UTME CANDIDATES) a) Applicants with SSCE O Level results or its equivalent WITHOUT JAMB RESULTS are eligible to apply once they have a minimum of five 'O' Level credits in relevant subjects including English at not more than two sittings

FIVE CREDITS 'O LEVEL RESULTS WITH JAMB-(UTME CANDIDATES)

b) Applicants with JAMB Results can equally apply. Those with a minimum of 180 JAMB scores who choose Bayero University, Kano as their first choice in the regular programme will be given priority.

c) Applicants for admission into B. Sc. Accounting, B.Sc. Business Administration,

B.Sc. Mathematics, B. Sc. (Ed) Mathematics, B. Sc. Health Education and B. Sc. (Ed) Economics must also have credits in 'O' Level Mathematics. d) Holders of National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies Certificates (NBAIS) can only apply for B. A. Arabic and B. A. Islamic Studies.

DIRECT ENTRY ADMISSION

Applicants for Admission into the programmes must satisfy the following conditions: a) Possess a recognized Advanced Level qualification in the area relevant to the

programme of choice. Such qualification(s) include(s) National Diploma (ND),

Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE), Interim Joint Matriculation Board (UMB)-(with a minimum of 6 points), Nursing Certificate, Diploma in Health Education, Diploma in Community Health, Diploma in Environmental Health, General Certificate of Education (GCE), 'A' Level and any other relevant

qualification(s). b) Possess a minimum of five (5) 'O' Level Credits in relevant subjects, including

English.

c) In addition, applicants for admission into B. Sc. Accounting, B.Sc. Business Administration, B.Sc. Mathematics, B. Sc. (Ed) Mathematics and B. Sc. (Ed) Economics must also have credits in 'O' Level Mathematics. While candidates for B. Nursing Science must have credits in English, Mathematics, Biology. Chemistry and Physics

d) Similarly, applicants for admission into B. Sc. Health Education must have credits in English, Mathematics, Biology and any other relevant science subject(s).

e) Holders of National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies Certificates (NBAIS) can only apply for B. A. Arabic and B. A. Islamic Studies. 1) Candidates applying for B. Sc. Public Administration should possess a credit in

Government/History in addition.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Step-1 An applicant MUST first visit JAMB Online Application Platform for Part- Time Degree Programme, select BUK, access the form, fill it and then make a non-refundable payment of Three Thousand Five Hundred Naira only (N3,500:00) into the JAMB'S Account from Monday 2nd January 2023.

NOTE: Applicants must fill in New JAMB Forms purposely meant for Part-

Time Degree Programme to obtain JAMB Registration Number. Old JAMB

Forms/Registration Numbers will not be accepted.

Step 2 Applicant can then approach the University Portal - www.buk.edu.ng with effect from Monday 2 January 2023 and Click PART-TIME APPLICATION FORM at the homepage. Login PROGRAMME SELECTED and GENDER.

Step 3 User should create account at the Portal. Username and Password will be provided.

Step-4 After you login, fill in all the necessary sections provided by the Application Portal. Step-5 Generate your personalized invoice. The invoice is to be printed and taken to

any Bank to make a payment of Processing Fee of Ten Thousand Naira (N10,

000:00) only. Ensure you read the Payment Procedure carefully at the Payment Procedure Page. Step 6. Review your form to ensure accuracy of all information you have provided. Step-7 Provide your JAMB number before printing acknowledgement slip.

Remember, old JAMB numbers used for other admissions will not be accepted. Step 8 After completion, generate your Acknowledgement Slip. Print the Slip and keep it safe. The Slip will be needed during the collection of Admission Letter and during Registration.

Payment of the Processing Fee opens at Banks from Tuesday 10th January 2023
