I am not trying to defend the lady but some of these small shop owners just dont know how to manage their inventory. Some of them don't even know that the products are expired. Did you take the expired product back and she did not accept it?
I know stores that put those products in another section and sell it at next to nothing.

Also, best before does not actually mean expired. . BB date means the duration which the product will retain its specific properties for. It can still be consumed, but it's quality would have been depreciated.

I have been to a supermarket, where I bought an expired tigernut, I came back and told him, this man removed the all the product from the shelves. And told me thank you. And I picked another product.

I understand, it's wrong for an expired product to be on shelves, most staff can be over stretched. But she still deserves to be punished.. it's not everything we should involve tribe. Sorry I have to say this. Why are igbo people like this? I have lived in ojo barracks Lagos that happened to have the biggest mammy market in Nigeria where you find all sort of good and service being produced. This very market was totally brought down because of fake products being produced by igbos. This is not a form of discrediting the igbo tribe but you guys have to do something about it. Other tribes are also involve in acts like this but that of the igbos is has gotten out of hand haba. If there is any issue of drug trafficking abroad before you even open the page, you already know the names that will be mentioned and I have never been disappointed. Make una try do something abeg.
