WHY SENATOR GODSWILL AKPABIO CANNOT BE ENTRUSTED WITH THE PRESIDENCY OF THE SENATE IN THE 10th ASSEMBLY.

As the battle for the seat of the President in the Senate continues, it is important to state that there are certain individuals who should not be entrusted with such a position. One of such person is Senator Godswill Akpabio.Senator Akpabio is an ambitious politician who will stop at nothing to attain position of power. He is a power-drunk whose quest for power knows no bound.

As the Minister of the Niger Delta Affairs, he had serious allegations of corrupt practices, sexual and workplace harassments, abuse of office, pipelines bombings and secret cult activities. These are allegations that speak volume and which should not be swept under the carpet. For instance, no sooner than he was sworn-in as the Honourable Minister, that he made his cousin, Mr. Emmanuel Inyangetor, a Special Adviser to the Executive Director of Finance and Administration of the NDDC, with a status almost equal to an Assistant Director which would have required an active service of not less than 15 years in the Ministry. Inyangetor’s sole mission was to protect Akpabio’s interest of milking the NDDC through the contracts as almost 35 percent of all contracts were received from contractors before their payments got approval.

He also involved himself in anti-party activities that cost the APC’s governorship candidate, Mr. Akanimo Udofia victory at the March 18th State Elections. His alleged pact the Young Progressives Party (YPP) in Akwa Ibom State played a key role in the poor performance of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in governorship election in the state as some of the APC members and supporters in the state appear to be confused over the APC’s participation in the poll, despite its candidate saying categorically that he is in the race. Akpabio was secretly canvassing votes for the YPP’s governorship candidate, Senator Bassey Albert (Oba) at the expense of the APC’s victory at the polls.

How can this individual be entrusted with the seat of the Senate President?

Was Akpabio tried in Chicago court for drug related case? Was he involved in a forfeiture? Is he an identity theft? Is he suffering dementia? Does he have certificate issues?

I'm asking for a friend.
