Attn. CBN: POS Operators Now Charge 1k Per N10,000 Withdrawal In Benin City! by DaddyCash: 4:09am On Mar 29, 2023 |
With the recent cash flow in banks across the country, thanks to Nigeria Labour Congress, POS Operators in Benin City, Edo State are now charging their customers, 1k for for every 10k withdrawn particularly in New Benin Market area. This amounts to 10% of one's hard-earned money! The painful aspect of it is that most of these greedy people withdrew this money from the banks without charges! The Federal Government and the Central Bank of Nigeria should do something about this ugly trend for sanity sake. 1 Like |

Eventually everything will fozzle out but not yet. You can't blame the POS operators as this isn't their fault. They spend 5 hours inside banks to get cash. That means a large part of their productive hours have been removed and they have financial obligations to meet so they increase their charges so that they can cover those lost hours. When people can get cash without staying long inside banking halls, their charges will reduce 2 Likes |

You can also go to the bank to withdraw the money if you think it's that easy to get the cash in the banking hall. |

sulaimon22:I withdrew from ATM few days ago but yesterday I was in a small hurry so I told the lady to give me just 2k and she said ₦500 I was about leaving, she was begging me to come that she'd take 400. I said when these ATMs are paying? She said I should use the ATM then, I just looked at her and left. If not for God I would've told her words she wouldn't ever forget. They're desperately trying to do last minute cashout before it's all over |

Spirit04:why not stay and withdraw instead of going to a pos merchant? You can avoid the drama and name calling by going to the atm yourself |
