Then I heard the Lord say to the other men, 'follow him through the city and kill everyone whose forehead is not marked....show no mercy, have no pity!!!.. Kill them all- old and young, girls and women and little children...
Ezekiel 9 :5-7

Here the Biblical God says:
A. Show no mercy!

B. Have no pity!

C. Kill old, young, girls, women and little children!

Why?

Because they were idolaters!

Even little children?

Yes!

Another version!
And as I listened, He said to the others, “Follow him through the city and start killing; do not show pity or spare anyone! Slaughter the old men, the young men and maidens, the women and children; but do not go near anyone who has the mark!

Ehn!

You think you are clever.
The Bible contains the history of the jews. It does not try to hide anything. What you described are jews who believed that they got these instructions from Jehovah. May be true may be false. But my point is that those instructions were not given to Christians.

The way of Christ is to not repay evil with good, to refuse to revenge, to be kind to strangers and relatives and to live a life of moral uprightness devoted to God.

Show me where Christians are instructed to kill steal or destroy their enemies or neighbours.

See yourself, they were not idolaters alone, they were a very sin filled people like you are. They were also liars and anti God like you

And this was even The Lord's own people who He chose to Himself.

Thus, this is The Lord killing His own chosen because they were an evil people.

Therefore, if The Lord can destroy His own people because they were evil, surely, you and all the you who are evil will be destroyed.

Was this command given to Christians?

Or was it given to Jews who practiced Judaism and were constantly under invasion from their enemies that surrounded them and destroyed their own Temple twice, killing off as many jews and dispersing the rest into captivity.

Context is very important in analyzing events. Stop being narrow minded.

It was not a command given to Christians because Christ came to end this world, since God's saving plan was rendered a nullity by Isreal

Isreal was supposed to be God's Law Enforcer via being a Holy Nation but since they choose the way of sinners, they could no longer enforce God's Laws. (Remember the judgment in the case of the adulterous woman requiring "he without sin".)

Thus no man can enforce God's Laws today only God Himself, which is what Judgment Day represents.

But, God's Laws are eternal and God shall always send one to uphold and enforce His Laws, which is what Christ is coming back to do.

Let’s check these ones:

“[Remember] when your Lord inspired to the angels, "I am with you, so strengthen those who have believed. I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieved, so strike [them] upon the necks and strike from them every fingertip."
-Quran 8:12

Quran 9:5 “And when the inviolable months have passed, then kill the polytheists wherever you find them and capture them and besiege them and sit in wait for them at every place of ambush. But if they should repent, establish prayer, and give zakāh, let them [go] on their way. Indeed, Allāh is Forgiving and Merciful.”

Muhammad, Allah's apostle and the best interpreter of the Quran allowed killing of children and women

"It is narrated by Sa'b b. Jaththama that he said (to the Holy Prophet): Messenger of Allah, we kill the children of the polytheists during the night raids. He said: They are from them."
-Sahih Muslim 19:4322

"Narrated As-Sab bin Jaththama: The Prophet passed by me at a place called Al-Abwa or Waddan, and was asked whether it was permissible to attack the pagan warriors at night with the probability of exposing their women and children to danger. The Prophet replied, "They (i.e. women and children) are from them (i.e. pagans)." I also heard the Prophet saying, "The institution of Hima is invalid except for Allah and His Apostle."
-Sahih Bukhari 4:52:256

"Sa'b b. Jaththama has narrated that the Prophet (may peace be upon him) asked: What about the children of polytheists killed by the cavalry during the night raid? He said: They are from them."
-Sahih Muslim 19:4323

This is clearly premeditated plot to murder and not even a counter action as the Bible case showed that it was like what US did to Japan because of pearl harbor attack.

The devil thinks that making a desperate counter thread is a counter. grin

Where is that in the context?

It's clearly the same path for you. We're more concerned about you, a fellow nairaland member and Nigerian. “Suppose it was possible to tie a rope from the earth to heaven and an ant was to go to the sun and return on this rope when the ant has done that a hundred times, then a small fraction of eternity has passed. Suppose a small boy was to empty an ocean with a cup, the time it will take the boy is a very tiny part of eternity.

If it were possible to gather all the books that have ever been written in all fields of human endeavor and all languages, and a student were to read them one by one, the time he will spend reading all the books will only amount to a minute fraction of eternity. If a grain of sand represents one day, all the sand at the seashore will represent only a small, negligible part of eternity.”

Life does not end at the time of death; it is only a gateway to eternity – in heaven or hell. Every sinner will end up in hell and every saint (believers living holy life) will go to heaven. Where do you want to spend eternity? The Bible encourages us to strive to enter through the straight and narrow way.

Islam is easily understood by all because itits writs are in Arabic : Quran, hadith Sunnah Tasfir. etc.

All these directed to one man who by conduct is a criminal. Allah didn't at any time frown at his criminalites but gave him special considerations. Moses led people for forty years, he offended God and was punished, so was Aaron, Miriam, ....

Because they were idolaters!
This is not the reason why God declared what you're quoting!
It's a revelation of what will happen when God's Kingdom comes notice that the name of the city revealed is mentioned "Jerusalem" this city symbolizes the planet earth. Jesus is the man sealing those to be spared and it's his blood that he's using to mark them so whoever doesn't have this seal will be killed! Luke 19:27

Those following him as executioners are his heavenly armies {Revelations 19:13-14 compare to Ezekiel 9:2} this is not about idolatry rather it's about recognition of Jesus' brothers who are serving as his representatives in the last days. Matthew 25:31-36

The illustration is telling you how rebellious humans will be destroyed when God's Kingdom comes! Matthew 16:27

So now is the time to study your Bible with Jehovah's Witnesses because the angels taking note of those to be spared are presently writing names of those who will be spared as they're sparing their time studying the Bible with Jehovah's Witnesses! Malachi 3:16 smiley

Note that the verse mentioned the city which the executioners should go "JERUSALEM" {Ezekiel 9:4}
So it's not about idolatry because some were to be marked for salvation while others who aren't marked will be killed by the other men.

"He cried also in my ears with a loud voice, saying, Cause them that have charge over the city to draw near, even every man with his destroying weapon in his hand. And, behold, six men came from the way of the higher gate, which lies toward the north, and every man a slaughter weapon in his hand; and one man among them was clothed with linen, with a writer's inkhorn by his side: and they went in, and stood beside the brazen altar. And the glory of the God of Israel was gone up from the cherub, whereupon he was, to the threshold of the house. And he called to the man clothed with linen, which had the writer's inkhorn by his side; And the LORD said to him, Go through the middle of the city, through the middle of Jerusalem, and set a mark on the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the middle thereof. And to the others he said in my hearing, Go you after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have you pity: Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man on whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house. And he said to them, Defile the house, and fill the courts with the slain: go you forth. And they went forth, and slew in the city. And it came to pass, while they were slaying them, and I was left, that I fell on my face, and cried, and said, Ah Lord GOD! will you destroy all the residue of Israel in your pouring out of your fury on Jerusalem? Then said he to me, The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceeding great, and the land is full of blood, and the city full of perverseness: for they say, The LORD has forsaken the earth, and the LORD sees not. And as for me also, my eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity, but I will recompense their way on their head. And, behold, the man clothed with linen, which had the inkhorn by his side, reported the matter, saying, I have done as you have commanded me."
