I really don’t know the right choice of words to use but, I think fear or scare tactics will do.

I use to hate feeling bad or guilty if I couldn’t help someone even if I had helped them in time past.

I consider myself a nice guy and always willing to help others by nature

Now these humans may end up playing victim just because I can’t help them at that point, neglecting the fact that I’ve been good to them in time past, they just want to keep getting from you alone and never think it right that you are also human and need space or help too.

So they try to guilt trip me into thinking I’m a bad person. So some of the time I will have to go out of my way just to meet their expectations. They call it manipulation right ?

It’s not like I need their validation or have low esteem far from that, I’m just Naturally attracted to being humane

Well, i became tough on my emotions and stop feeling guilt tripped. if I can’t/don’t help you it doesn’t make me less humane

No be you go tell me who I be

It’s really tough out there , the world is turning into a thick jungle.

Don’t really know why people use good people instead of appreciating them

Fears of not having physical cash on me.
Before the redesigned Naira note policy that brought about cash crunch, I used to fear not having enough physical cash on me cos I felt I would always need it and hated to be cash-trapped or stranded for any reason. So I would always set a mental reminder that tonight i must visit the ATM or POS and if I don't succeed you'll see me sweating and feeling so uncomfortable. Like I never let it happen in short.

Now, During the cash crunch saga, where I would be without cash for days and only do online transactions, the fears and anxiety of not having physical cash dropped because it was a hopeless situation and I didn't have a choice than to adjust to the new normal and seeing that I didn't die from anxiety and the whole experience, it has made me stronger and afterwards been able to conquer that fear. Now I could go for days and not fret about not having cash.

That's all. Every other fears have been conquered in Christ since I rededicated my life to God a long time ago.
