Can we be serious for once? In my little research on why fuel price hike tends to affect Nigerians, l have discovered that many Nigerians relies on fuel in almost everything due to epileptic power supply in the country. If electricity is taken care of, I bet you very few Nigerians will care about whether there is fuel or not. I personally don't buy fuel always for my car but for office purposes. If I fill my car tank, God knows when I will visit the fuel station again. But for my generator, hmmm, almost every other day due to epileptic power supply.

So, what's my point here? That $800m should be used to install free meter for all Nigerians homes, buy new transformers, improve transmission lines and in addition, FG should make it mandatory for the electricity generating companies to measure electricity consumption only through meters.

FG should forget this scam called palliative. We saw their implementation on covid and many other programs. So they should spare us that bullish..t.
