According to the 4 Gospels, Jesus Christ was instead arrested on the day of Passover and crucified the next day which happened to fall on the First day of the Festival of Unleavened Bread(a Holy day - Leviticus 23 vs 4 - 8 ) explaining why Pilate(a non-Israelite) had to do the killing in place of the Jewish establishment because it is against God's Law to put a man to death on a Holy day. So, Pilate had Jesus Christ tried and crucified on Thursday and Jesus Christ is recorded to have died by 3 pm that same day. Jesus Christ's body had to hang on the cross until the next day because it is against God's Law to handle a dead body on a Holy day. The next day, Friday, just before sundown, His followers came with supplies and processed His body, and had it buried before the beginning of the Sabbath— Saturday.

So, what this means is that the Good Friday ritual is of lies.
