I saw a post on the recent abduction of commuters on the Abuja-Kaduna road and I realized such news had reduced drastically in the election period, sprouting up again now elections have ended.

Anyone else thinking the same? Was there really a stop or reduction in insecurity in Nigeria because of elections, or is it just my imagination? If there indeed was, what do you think is the link? Why would the perpetrators go on a hiatus during elections?

The real answer is that all these are part of the propaganda drive by officials of government who use these avenue to cause fear and chaos.

During the elections, no bandits attacked voters or kidnapped them. Not even boko haram. But all of a sudden they are already causing havoc.
