Someone posses a question capable of educating a wide range of people in many ways and some mental cases with no sensible contribution related to the topic jump on it to say trash. I saw the thread earlier but decided to wait for people more knowledgeable only to see mental cases.

Upwork cause you can look for clients yourself. On fiverr the clients find you but then how do clients find you amongst millions of other freelancers.

Upwork works, you just need a niche, do you apply to Webflow jobs, Upwork requires patience and a kick-ass portfolio.

I'd keep improving.

Webflow? Nope
I only apply to UIUX design jobs since I'm more proficient at it. I have apply to a dozen but yet without any success, though I'd keep hunting.

Thinking of navigating toward Visual Assistant roles. Don't know how tangible it is and I don't even have any experience in that field.

Cannot over emphasize the need for a solid portfolio for Upwork. Even Nigerian clients are picky about freelancers they use there. Recently bidded for a sweet gig there for some Nigerian client there. The job he wanted done is stuff was with a very niche open source software. Software that I mess about with in my homelab. The guy refused to have a contract with me because I didn't have any publicly available portfolio about my work with that software.

Like 80$ for connects a month, I'm even at 1 xonnecrs, but honestly Upwork is in shambles now, I'd advise people to explore finding gigs outside Upwork.

Upwork is totally in shambles right now fr. Most jobs being posted now are fake.
What hurt me most is the Direct Contract update. I don't know why they'll want to force Non-Upwork clients to register and pay $5-10 initiation fee after the useless percentages and VATs.

What people do to kickstart their sale is as follows:

They ask a few friends to buy their gigg or offer. Then they build a track record of 5 stars customer relationship with great reviews. then they start winning their own clients and do a fantastic job with them so that they can get more clients.

Others offer free services for a few clients and get great reviews.

Then they get many jobs, and their portfolio increase. At this time it is a snowball effect. You choose one or the other, but you need some reviews where you lose money so that you can get people to buy from you at a later stage.

When you get the reviews and these are detailed reviews, it will not be the price that matters, it will be you as a person that will offer the best ever service and people will want to pay for it good money. I was successful at both strategies, and guess what, most clients kept coming back for more.
