Easter: Timi of Ede congratulates Christians, harps on compassion

The Timi of Ede land, HRM OBA DR. MUNIRUDEEN ADESOLA LAWAL, LAMINISA THE 1ST, has felicitated with all Ede sons and daughters around the world on the occasion of this year's Easter celebration, calling for global peace through compassion.

The Monarch opined that the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ symbolized genuine love and undiluted compassion for humanity, saying these virtues must be adopted by every individual to build egalitarian society.

This was contained in statement signed by his media aide, Dapo Akinyele, the copy which was made available to newsmen in Ede on Saturday.

According to the statement, Oba Laminisa also enjoined Christians to maintain peaceful co-existence among other faiths in the same way Jesus Christ did.

"I heartily felicitate with my sons and daughters around the globe on the occasion of the celebration of the death and resurrection of Lord Jesus Christ.

"Beyond the usual merriment, let's all continue to follow the path of Jesus Christ and emulate his enviable virtues for the benefit of humanity.
