Competition is a struggle for survival. If you don't compete, you'll become weak, lean, and eventually fizzle out. You'll lose your territory.

What shapes us is not comfort. Everything man has gained today is a result of curiosity. That curiosity leads to pain. You choose that pain because you want to survive and grow. You struggle for survival because something or someone is troubling you, and you want comfort.

Competitive spirits know no boundary. You can convince yourself out of the game but can't do so for them. You'll be captured and left behind if you don't show resilience.

It doesn't matter whether you're competing with your former self or another person. The essence of competition is to grow above mediocrity. You are either haunted by your past or motivated by great men. Moving forward is the big deal.

Healthy competition isn't envious. You must think of how to get better by using the best as a benchmark, rather than hovering around it to bring it down. You don't grow by bringing others down. You'll end up setting a trap for yourself.

Our modern world is moving at a fast pace today because men are motivated by their predecessors to do something better. And when things are better, survival is secure and the fear surrounding it minimize.

Competition tests your strength and will. It shows your capacity and what you can handle. Competition builds you. Those that degrade competition are mediocre and unwilling to take bold steps to become refined.
