Nigeria-born UFC fighter, Israel Adesanya has expressed his love for his fellow Nigerians. The mixed martial artist, however, noted that the country is a ‘very corrupt place’. The ‘stylebender’ said this while speaking on a Hotboxin podcast. Adesanya added that government and some of its people are always looking for ways to siphon money from the country’s coffers and swindle others of their money. He said, “There is a lot of red tape in Nigeria. Nigeria is a very corrupt place. These are men whom could easily invest there hard earned millions in Nigeria if Obi was not denied of his mandate. alsudan: I think he said the fact. He mentioned the government AND everyone. An average Nigerian is almost always ACTIVELY looking out for ways to siphon money, get involved in cyber crime, go into prostitution (hookups), drug pushing, make unjust profit, inflate contract etc. It's foremost more of a social issue than a government issue because Nigerians are still engaging in same vices in other countries that are reputedly far better economically. We tend to have a culture that encourages and celebrates anti-ethical attitudes and character. |
