Pleasant day to you all my nairaland family. Today is actually my first time to post a topic on Nairaland but I have been active since 2012 on a steady daily reading of updates, stories and the likes.

I will be brief with my story and will appreciate the best advise I can get thereafter.

To begin, I believe in God and duly follow the principles preached by christ believing in my best knowledge that I'm on the right path in my dwelling. Well, while I was younger I have been told till this date that my wealth is not in Nigeria that at some point I will leave Nigeria and this has been spoken to me from more than 12 different preachers and strangers supposedly with spiritual sights and all that. Two years ago I was told that I shouldn't bother to marry here that my wife is waiting for me abroad and that was not the first time I have been told but I have not been able to digest the rationale behind these prophecies that I shouldn't or keep love back here in Nigeria before travelling out.

Now, finally I'm on the right track as I have COS from a UK company which means the possibility for a visa consideration is high this time after my first personal trial for a visit visa application went south. My problem now is I recently met a girl I used to know back in school who was dating a guy I new back then but not in close contact with him but we talk randomly, I could see so much values and potentials in her, loyalty to the core which I hold very dear in my kind relationship in place of love which diminishes with time. I confident that this feelings and emotions are real and right. That this time I want to grow old with this girl. Although at the moment she is in a nursing school now and in her first year which means she will likely need 2-3years more before I can have her come over and that is a time i believe might be too long for me to wait cause already i feel lonely inside and i so deeply desire a family of my own.

Now my question is, should I look the other way and allow this flame burn cold and see to towards looking forward to meeting my supposeed destiny wife as these prophecies has consistently preached over the years or stand with my immediate emotions and work towards my own plans as I believe if I dedicate my time and desire it so much I can make it work but in reality God decides who gets anything in life.

Note: I am not a gullible person or sheeply blinded but that doesn't also imply I'm woke but I can tell the difference between both. But my fear is I don't know what will go wrong in bid to ignore prophecies or what will happen if I fail to follow who my heart has chosen.

Please, I will appreciate helpful advise that will enable me make the right decision in this case as I'm in a confused state for some weeks now and anytime soon my visa and everything will be in place.

Feel free to scold me if need be, perhaps i will need it.

That does not mean that you should not fall in love here in Nigeria

If that is the case, go abroad first

Settle down

Search for friendships and go into relationships

If you get any there fine

If you don't get, you relocate the one you have here abroad

Get your marriage or wedding done in abroad

Have your children abroad

Settle down in abroad

By so doing, you have fulfilled righteousness and your Destiny
