Leonardo DiCaprio and Daniel Day Lewis Gangs of New York was hauntingly great... A masterpiece of acting and cinematography!

Gangs of London was simply raw, twisted and exquisitely yet unabashedly violent! It didn't hold back in its depiction of the lawlessness of the UK underworld!

Gangs of Lagos was nothing but a silly and poor attempt at modernly depicting the ugliness of the painted slum called Lagos!

They should have be wise enough to have depicted it the exact way it is... Made it related to the average Nigerian. Going overboard was ill-advised!

Shanty town did a better job in my opinion even though they still fell short in holding up the plot.

Yeah.... I enjoyed Legend. It was a wild ride.

Gangs of London is just 2 seasons so far (not sure it will be renewed for a third)! It was worth it.

Nigerians too overdo. That was how they ruined the already bad Half of a Yellow Sun with their censorship. You don't see white Americans sueing blacks over their depiction of slavery and civil rights movement. At the end of the day, it's only a movie made for entertainment.

Slavery and civil rights are factual events and I can't think of many movies that speak to that subject in a loose manner or causes grand offence to indigenous people.

If the movies board pulls this and sends a strongly worded letter to Amazon they will pull the movies without doubt.

I knew it immediately after watching the movie that they're going to have little problem on the story.


It was too glaring how they used the particular names...I guess the writer never knew BAT would win the 2023 election due to the popular obedient movement.



They mentioned exact names of places... people and custom.

The movie is interesting but they have to clear the air by acting a part 2 to correct every error made in part one.

Kazeem called himself *Asiwaju* in the last scene when Obalola called him a traitor that *Omo aiye...kii je oju aye!....he replied saying


"Kosi oruko ti won o ti pemi tan....Omo alapata...tout .. Eruku..Asiwaju nimi...mode ma joba lori gbogbo yin lEkoo yii"



Rewatch the last scene sis.....



Secondly the constant agbada and it's design worn by Kazeem rings a bell.



I just hope there'd be a part 2 to correct it.


The isale Eko is an original name also...and the almighty Eyo.


Eruku... Eleniyan is a popular slang uses originally in Isale Eko...it's not fictious ma.
