In a news that was published by The Nation Newspaper online this afternoon, it was reported that the media campaign office of the Labour Party's presidential candidate, Peter Obi, said that the former Anambra Governor, was detained for hours at Heathrow Airport in London, United Kingdom.


It was reported that the LP campaign office, said that Peter Obi, was questioned because, he was being impersonated in London by someone else.

In a statement on Wednesday in Abuja by the Head, obi-Datti Media, Diran Onifade, the campaign office said it took the intervention of Nigerians at the airport for the presidential candidate of the Labour Party to be released by the immigration officials after confirming that, it was someone else that was impersonating him and that, the person might use his details of commit crime.

However, while Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, who happens to be the former Minister of Aviation and the spokesperson to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress' Presidential Campaign Council, was reacting to this on his official Twitter handle this evening, he mocked Peter Obi for the development.


He said that Peter Obi was detained like a common criminal by the British authorities and that, Peter Obi was also supposed to be saying, "yes daddy" to the immigration officers when he was detained.

He said, "Poor PeterObi! Accosted, detained and deported back to Nigeria like a common criminal by the British authorities ? Why didn't you say "yes daddy" to the immigration officer? Or better still why didn't you call the little Englander or the little diva to put in a word for you
