I really need to understand the meaning of JAGABAN, because someone just called his son JAGABAN and others are saying that the gangs of Lagos portrays the meaning.

Jagaban is a Hausa language , which means the one who lead people to war .

In traditional Hausa titles Jagaban is the leader of war frontline . It is equivalent to war commander.

It means BALOGUN or Generalisimo. The title itself is JAGABA which means leader but if N is added, it becomes a possessive noun JAGABAN and the jurisdictional territory is added , it’s called JAGABAN BORGU.
