*Okonkwo-Okom canvasses patience, prayers amid Nigeria's politiy tension - mourns mother- in- law in grand style*

A former member of the Anambra State House of Assembly who represented Orumba North Constituency ( 2003--2007),Chief Uchenna Okonkwo- Okom has called on the Nigerian electorate to remain resolute in defence of their political choice at the 2023 presidential election.

Chief Okonkwo- Okom made the call during the burial ceremony of his mother- in-law, Mrs.Grace Nwakaego Ezeonyebuchi of the Ezioko Village, Oko.

According to the former legislator, they should pray for the manifestation of God' s wish brought to limelight through their massive support for the presidential candidate of the Labour party, Mr.Peter Obi.


He expressed delight that Obi's massive support expressed through the ballot box by the electorate cut across all ethnic divides who desire a positive change for their country.


He prayed that the greater Nigerian choice will not be subverted by the minority whose selfish interests have remained a clog in the wheel of progress of the nation.

Chief Okonkwo - Okom urged them to use this period of Easter to remain steadfast in their belief for a better Nigeria, expecting them to put their trust in the capacity of the risen Jesus Christ.


He described his deceased mother- in- law whose burial attracted dignitaries from far and near as a woman of peace and integrity who used her talents to promote unity, love and development in her community Oko and beyond.

The former lawmaker further used the forum to commiserate with the Mbadinuju family of the Uli community, Ihiala Local govyernment tarea over the death of a one time gtovernor of Anambra State, Dr.Chinwoke Mbadinuju who passed on recently.


He prayed God to forgive his shortcomings while on earth and reward his good deeds. (MOI)
