My mom taught me from a young age to wash my underwear immediately after bathing and we were also taught in school to do the same thing.

So for me it has become a habit that I can't let go of, I wash my underwears and socks immediately after bathing... What I would do is soak them in clean water with soap, and then wash them after I'm done bathing.

I even got this bucket washing machine specifically for my underwears and socks.

You'd never come to my place and find my dirty underwear in my laundry basket because they're always clean.

Yes, I do. Just that no guest will (or should) find my dirty pile. I have always hated hanging my undies where anyone would see them. So you would never find my holey pants on the line outside when I was young and living with my parents in our face to face apartment. When I shared accommodation with friends, I also would not leave my undies in the bathroom for flatmates to see. Now that I'm married and have my space, I drop my undies in a pile in MY room. My wife drops hers in a bucket in the bathroom (HER/OUR bathroom). If you go find that kind of pile, na you know wetin carry you go there. By the way, our lifestyle doesn't afford us the luxury of washing undies every morning. When I'm at work and they put me in a hotel or their accommodation, I have people that come in to clean my room while I'm in the office. I will hate to have them come in and meet my undies in the bathroom. When I'm at home, I don't wear pants for days and would usually go into the bathroom in my pyjamas or whatever I wore to bed. Why will I go back to and pick undies to wash?

By the way, before I start sounding like a neat freak, I have worn my undies for more than one day before. I still do if I'm travelling and can't pack. Socks? No even think about that one. I regularly wear my socks more than once. I just try to space it so I don't wear them on consecutive days.

Long story short - Yes some of us keep it in a pile and yes some of us wear it for two days in a row. Who wan form, make he dey form.

Given the response i have gotten so far, I think people do and for the right reasons. Different lifestyles is a factor here.
