The Offa Descendant Union (ODU), under the leadership of Alhaji Olaniyi Muideen Azeez Salako, has congratulated Alhaja Mulikat Bola Aliyu on her election as Deputy Rector (Academic) of the Federal Polytechnic Offa.

Before her new position, Alhaja Aliyu is a Chief Lecturer at the Department of Library and Information Science (LIS) and has held many positions, including the HoD of the Department of LIS and Director of the Institute of Continuing Education (ICE). Alhaja Aliyu was also a former National Treasurer of the ODU.

In a congratulatory message issued by the ODU's National Social Secretary and Ag NPRO, Idowu Muhydeen Oladipo, on behalf of the National President, Alhaji Salako described her elevated appointment as a well deserved considering her wealth of experience in the academia.

While wishing the new Deputy Rector a successful tenure, Alhaji Salako expressed optimism that the new appointee will bring her intellectual capacity to bear in her new assignment.

Part of the statement read, "Your elevated appointment is well deserved considering your wealth of experience in academia. I do not doubt your ability to extend your intellectual capacity and wealth of experience to bear in your new appointment."

The ODU national president prayed to Almighty God to guide and give Alhaja Bola Aliyu the wisdom to manage her new office.
