Madubuko Introduces New Model Hospitality; Builds Exclusive Residence In Nnewi

A new dawn has come into Nnewi, the industrial city of Anambra state, with the inauguration of newly constructed exclusive five-star guest residence in the area.

A native of Uru in Umudim, Nnewi North local government area of Anambra state, Prof.Victor Madubuko, who is a human resource manager and consultant, and teacher at Yeshiva University, New York, United States, opened The Moonshine Residence, which is a complete departure from hotels seen everyday.

The official unveiling ceremony held at No. 1 Madubuko Street, Uru-Umudim, Nnewi, was held on Sunday, April 23, by the traditional ruler of Nnewi, Igwe (Dr) Kenneth Orizu III, after a prayer by a Catholic priest.

The facility provides Concierge, Room service, Outdoor pool, Game room, Gym, 24-hour security, Laundry service, Wifi, Onsite parking, Private event venue, Business Center, 24-hour power and water supply, Restaurant, and many more.

During the ceremony, the proprietor, Prof. Madubuko, said that the aim of establishing the place is to have a facility that will provide all the comforts of a home - a unique home, which is different from a hotel.

"My vision is to create a kind of residence that has the uniqueness of a hotel in terms of comfort; so that families will come, feel comfortable and also have facilities for their children to play.

"Even if guests are coming from big cities or
overseas, they will stay here and enjoy the same facility, comfort and standard of living as they would enjoy abroad.

"Whether you are visiting Nigeria or the Southeast for business or holidays, planning a staycation with family or friends, hosting an all-inclusive event, or looking for unique hospitality experience, the Moonshine Residence apartments are perfect for a restful, and fun stay," he explained.

He also said that the facility has created employment opportunities for tens of people in the area; adding that 98% of equipment and materials used for the construction of the place is sourced locally.

He also said that the facility has service apartment where people stay, do their businesses and leave; as well as apartment hotel, where guests will stay and have a feel of a home with facilities like standard kitchen, parlour, 2 big bedrooms, conveniences, among other things.

"When you stay here, even though you have a kitchen in your apartment, if you didn't want to cook yourself, we can provide food for you. All the apartments have telephones lines - you can call, and we'll provide whatever you want. The reason is that we'd want you to stay for days and weeks without having the feeling or need to go out.

"This place differs significantly from a hotel, in the sense that Moonshine Residence is not open to the general public to just come in or go out, except when one has accommodation or has business to do here," he noted; adding that the management takes the security of guests seriously, and therefore, is working in partnership with police and local vigilante to provide adequate security.

According to him, there are four types of residence in The Moonshine Residence, depending on the cost and types of facilities provided in each. He also said that sporting facility provided therein would serve as recreational, fitness and training facilities for guests and playground for kids.
