Dear brothers and sisters in Islam,

Today, I would like to speak to you about a very important topic in Islam: the right of one Muslim over another. As we know, Islam is a religion that emphasizes brotherhood, love, and compassion. Therefore, it is essential for us as Muslims to understand and practice the rights that we have over one another.

In the Quran, Allah (SWT) says: "The believers are but brothers, so make settlement between your brothers. And fear Allah that you may receive mercy." (49:10). This verse clearly shows us that all believers are brothers and sisters in Islam, and as such, we have certain rights over one another.

One of the most important rights that we have over each other is to treat each other with kindness and respect. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, "A Muslim is the brother of another Muslim. He should neither wrong him nor hand him over to his wrongdoer. Whoever fulfills the needs of his brother, Allah will fulfill his needs." (Sahih Bukhari 2442).

Therefore, it is important for us to understand that we are all equal in the eyes of Allah (SWT), and we should not discriminate against anyone based on their race, nationality, or social status. The only thing that distinguishes us from one another is our level of piety and devotion to Allah (SWT).

Furthermore, we have the right to advise and correct one another in a gentle and respectful manner. Allah (SWT) says: "The believers, men and women, are helpers of one another; they enjoin good and forbid evil..." (9:71). This means that we should not hesitate to advise our fellow Muslims when we see them doing something wrong or harmful to themselves or others.

At the same time, we should also be willing to accept advice and correction from others. We should not be too proud or arrogant to admit our mistakes and seek guidance from those who are more knowledgeable and experienced than us.

In conclusion, the right of one Muslim over another is a fundamental aspect of Islam. As Muslims, we should strive to treat each other with kindness, respect, and compassion, and we should always be willing to help and support one another. By doing so, we can build strong and cohesive communities that are based on the principles of brotherhood and unity, and we can earn the pleasure of Allah (SWT) in this life and in the hereafter.

Jazakum Allah khairan.
