I am presently in South Africa. Today is a public holiday in SA. So i went with my friend to where they play soccer. His team is made up of completely igbos and yorubas. There was no fighting, no antagonizing, no beef.
The only thing i noticed was that these people behave like brothers. Laughing together, hugging each other whenever they scored. I was really surprised at the brotherhood amongst them. Unlike here on nairaland. With the exception of few people, igbos and yorubas do not have issues with each other.

I don't have problems with Igbos, but will say Igbo hate Yorubas...out of 36 states in naija na only north I no too tour except Abuja...I can say Igbos are not accommodative.

I have been to the 4 regions of Nigeria and I will tell you that yorubas are natural Igbo haters, I'm currently in yoruba land. Apart from religion the north is the better than the west. Even my yoruba friends can attest to this, envy and jealousy is the only reason yorubas hates igbos

The selfishness and greed of some Yorubas is the major issue. Also, this singular attitude is the reason why Nigeria remains what it is today. Unless this ugly attitude changes, we are where we are.
