We keep celebrating mediocrity in this useless country, how does this airport contribute positively to the lives of the common Ebonyi man. How many people will leave out Enugu to fly direct to Ebonyi? How many jobs did this useless governor create in his 8 years tenure as gov. Guys, have you ever wondered why these governors keep embarking on white elephant projects? It's simply because they will have opportunity to inflate the budget and also get kick backs from it. We never ready for this country. Nonsense!

Nigerians and misplaced priority. Doing airports when there is no power to support production. This is consumption focused project and a luxury for 99.9% of the people.

What do you expect from APC stupid government. We celebrate consumption instead of production. If Umahi tell you how much was used to build this airport, it's enough to generate 10mw of electricity in Ebonyi.

All I could see is just a concrete (slab) and a shed called terminal. I am not hati.ng but I feel our governors can do better. The terminal building is not ok at all.

Can the state share videos and pictures of equipment at the air port so that we can guess whether billions claimed to have spent on it are justifiable?

Not just to arrange a plane to land and pour water for the body of the plane, running a airport is more than that.

I could see that state governors are building airports now as a sort of competition. The number of people that fly into most of our states are lesser compared to billions they spend on all these projects.
Small time, when there’s no traffic, airlines won’t fly that route.

Governors need to spend our money on projects that will touch lives of more than 80% of us but not on project that only 5 to 7% of us would benefit.
Money spent on such airports can build mass housing of more than 30, 000 pieces.

Having 5,000 pieces of these types of houses in 6 zones alone in a state will spring up development and new cities will be born. Business premises will spring up from such towns, schools, hospitals, mini factories event centers etc.

Stadium that some government built with billions are there wasting away. Who would go to stadium when such person has not eaten?

Money spent on this airport can be spent on independent power generation and transmission, in partnership with private investors so that government don’t run it and run it down.

I am sure the governor and his cohorts must have jeun sapo from projects like this.

Dude really tried for Ebonyi

Of pace and continuity can be maintained, Ebonyi is bound to become the best thing from the South-East.

You now start wondering what past administration have been doing. Just in 8 years, dude turned the state around
Honestly, Dave Umahi transformed the state unlike his predecessor Martin Elechi who just plundered and left the state a complete wreck.

Hmm....just from Abuja to Abakaliki.
The flight time is outrageous. Did the Pilots and crew lost direction?

Apparently, it is not supposed to be more than 55mins to 1h 5mins

Congratulations to Ebonyi people though. I wish them a busy Airport
My brother, you're talking. Almost 4hrs 30minutes? Could it be they missed road? Just thinking.
