According to reports, Alex has a girlfriend named Alexandra, a humanoid barista with 3.3 million TikTok followers.

Promobot, a Russian startup formed by three friends, Oleg Kivokurtsev, Maxim Utev, and Igor Yeremeev, began making robots a decade ago by ordering parts online.

Promobot V1, their first product, could speak and recognize faces, but the inventors desired to make a more realistic-looking robot that would be so awesome. Today, Promobot has over 1,000 robots functioning in 50 countries around the world. Creating humanoid robots like Alex, on the other hand, is no easy task, with the business needing to raise $8 million (N3.68 billion) to bring these creative devices to life.

Alex has over 600 servomotors in its face, body, and limbs, and the business is not resting on its laurels despite its remarkable progress. A servo motor is an electric motor designed to give precise movement or position control.

Promobot also aspires to develop a robot that can walk, a challenging endeavor they are confident they can accomplish.
