There is so much unrest in the world today- especially in Africa where there are so many young people living in deplorable conditions and abject poverty. The gap between the rich and poor keeps widening. About 8-10% of the world's wealthiest control 90% of the wealth. Its a similar situation in Nigeria. It's also amazing how underdeveloped Charity is in Nigeria. We've got so many wealthy folks who can make a huge difference in their communities. Poverty persists in all countries of the world, regardless of their economic, social and cultural situation. Particularly, in developing nations.

Considering the harsh economy in Nigeria, costly Gasoline and much predicted subsidy removal on fuel in coming months. My team and i have come up with the idea of having an NGO that'd be responsible for Fare-free public transit as a form of humanitarian service to the masses. Our aim is mainly to ease the burden of mobility in the public. We'd be targeting students for now, all students will be entitled to board free public transit via a card that'd be issue to them. The card would serve as a ticket to their various destination daily. It amazed me seeing lots of students loitering around the streets of Lagos and other part of the country trekking or waiting for bus by 10am when ordinarily they ought to be in their various classrooms. The likes of Luxembourg, Malta, Estonia et al, provides free public transit to their residents.

We're at the start up stage and we're soliciting for the public support so that this project can become a reality. We hope to kickstart this initiative with at least 3 buses. On that note, we'd be looking forward to sponsorship, donations, support from individual person (in Nigeria and diaspora) Government, Religious leaders, Institutions, Social groups, Philanthropists etcetera.

With our collective efforts, this nation will be great.

This really make lots of sense. If you can also write proposal to government agencies and private sector. This is commendable
