Did people ever think that South Africa consisted of just one tribe? Is there any African country at all with just one tribe?
I basically believed that SA was three ethnic groups based on their national anthem.
And I considered the Afrikaans as an ethnic group in SA.since they can't go anywhere
Zulu and one major ethnic group .I can't remember their but I guess other ethnicities disapprove of the domineering effect of the Zulu

In as much as I can explain to you guys about different SA tribes, there are some things that I just can't do.

Sorry.

God bless you for this reply. Soo many up here are mentally unbalance.

All Bantu women from East Africa to southern Africa apparently are gifted with their behinds.

I don't know anything about it because I really don't pay attention to it, do you pay attention to your fellow men's dicks and balls

A big ass is something that cannot go unnoticed no matter the clothing.

Anyway thank you for the hint

Forget patriotism, South Africa get fine girls abeg.

See fine tall girl with tender skin.
No bleaching
No toothpick legs
No burnt knuckles like PH bolé
No protruded belly as a result of excess goat meat pepper soup and catfish pepper soup coupled with Smirnoff ice and hollandia yoghurt.

Nigerian girls are mostly short like fire hydrant. You hardly see a tall and pretty Nigerian girl.

God bless South African girls for me abeg. See as girl set and fresh like today's bread. kiss kiss kiss

South African ladies are sweet to enjoy. But they no dey marry dem

The most peaceful tribe I know are the xhosa people.

The most aggressive and stubborn are the Zulu

The most educated is the Venda tribe.

These are from personal experience.

can you also compile a list of famous south Africans and the tribe they belong to, I know Mandela was Zulu, Casper nyovest, Brenda fassie, makeba etc.

That's what every non south African would think but is wrong... Mandela was actually from the Xhosa tribe

The lady with the recorded biggest ass was Sarah Baartman, and she was Khoikhoi. So the title of the biggest ass belongs to the Khoikhoi tribe.

I beg to differ.

I think Nigeria ladies are the most beautiful cos they have heterogenous beauty meaning their beauty is of different shades.

Most African ladies have homogenous outward beauty.

For instance.. Most SA ladies have big backside and not all men like big backside.

Most Ghana babes have curves but strangely, not every man are into curves.

Ethiopia, Eritrea ladies look alike but Naija ladies come in different shapes and faces.

Go to Ondo, East, akwa ibom, and so on and you will see a lady looking like Japanese yet 100% Nigerian.

Hope you get it

Guilty as charged. Informative though. But just 10 tribes for a country as large as South Africa, wow, that is still reasonably few compared to some other African countries. Am I correct to assume the Swazi tribe you mentioned have their kit and kin separated in the country of Swaziland down there in Southern Africa?

Yes that why they are regarded as eswatini so are the sothos of Lesotho, swana of Botswana,......I think she included other countries in southern Africa other than SA as we know it,she even included the Swazi's from you know where.

The relationship is now okay, but because of our history, they'll always be that bit of tension between both ethnic groups.

Even the Indian and Chinese South Africans were oppressed during those days of apartheid, because they were also regarded as blacks by the white South Africans.

We communicate in English or Afrikaans.. Some job opportunities require that you be fluent in Afrikaans... I did Afrikaans in primary school as a second additional language.

Some white South Africans are also fluent In our native languages like our late music artist Costa Titch... He was a white South African and in all his music, he'd sing in both English, Zulu, and Tswana.

I've always wanted to know, what's the relationship like now with the white & black South Africans?

And how do yall communicate? In English? Do they understand the language of black South Africans and do you understand theirs?

Zulus still follow that tradition of having lots of cows as a dowry.

Some tribes just pay money and maybe just two cows.
lifenajeje:

Don't know how expensive their traditional marriage rites are but I watched a movie where a white boy brought a truck load of well fed cows as dowry ( not the kind of cows that cubana chief priest no let us hear word oh )

Samantha123 do they actually use truckload of cows for dowry payment or it was just a movie .
