I am relocating to Abuja from next week to start a new job and will need advise on a very good word based church in that city. I sat under Matthew Ashimolowo in UK for over a decade and laterly under Dr. Sola Kolade of Vine Branch (his humility is second to none), the pastors must at least be sound on the exposition of his word like the aforementioned two and it helps if the choir is solid as well. Thanks in advance for your help.

My brother, if you are looking for a church that has a leader like Ashimolowo, then I am afraid you are on the wrong path. I say with all sense of responsibility that Matthew Ashimolowo is a notorious manipulator of the gospel for selfish gain and most definitely a false preacher. You may wish to read 2 peter 2:1-3 to see what the bible teaches about the likes of Ashimolowo

Well I didn't expect you to take my word for it cause I know it is really difficult to turn one's back on a spiritual leader even when it is glaring they are false. Ashimolowo's case is glaring as he does not exhibit a single fruit of the spirit and his teachings are heavily flawed biblically, that is apart from the FACT that he as turned his church to a personal money making venture through fraudulently manipulating the scriptures. All you need to do is study the bible for yourself to know. As I said earlier, I don't expect you to take my word for it but as a christian brother I owe you a responsibility to at least warn you about this man you call your pastor.

I dont live in ABJ,but i guess i can tell u what i know a christian can still do in your situation.
Study your bible personally and do asked Gods to direct u to the right place, not all church are church this days, it hard to recommend, the best is to pray for Gods spirit to direct u.
