ZAMFARA RETURNING OFFICERS THREATENS BY ABUJA INEC STAFF OVER CHANGE OF GOV RESULT

Information reaching news men had it that some officers at the INEC national headquarters Abuja had invited some ad-hoc staff that participated in the conduct of the 2023 governorship poll in Zamfara were invited to Abuja for them to sign some suspicious documents related to the conduct of the Governorship election.

The invitation according to a source, is connected to the plan by some staff members of the Commission to alter with the results of some local governments ahead of the commencement of the Governorship election petition proceedings.

The alleged action is being masterminded by one of the relations of the Zamfara PDP gubernatorial candidate Dauda Lawal who is also a staff of the legal department of the INEC in Abuja as he vows to ensure that he will uses his connection to favour the PDP candidate Dauda Lawal against the popular decision of the people who voted legitimately for Governor Bello Matawalle.

The PDP candidate Dauda Lawal has became scared of the grounds established by the APC at the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal and he is working tirelessly with some unpatriotic INEC staff to get the Maradun result and other results from the rest of the local governments altered

Those invited to Abuja include the State returning officer for the Zamfara Governorship election, collation officers for Anka, Bakura, Maradun, Bukkuyum, Tsafe, Zurmi, Shinkafi Gummi, Gusau, Bungudu, Maru, Birnin Magaji and Kaura Namoda.

Others invited include ward collation officers for Damaga/Gama Giwa, Kaya/Dosara , Faru/Magami, Gora and Janbako wards.

The source added that Maradun is becoming a source of concern to the PDP and indeed the INEC staff accused because it has constituted the basis of the petition filed by the APC challenging the victory of the PDP at the 2023 governorship polls.

The source said arrangements for setting up of a new result sheets have been made although the same INEC has issued a certified true copy of the result sheets for Maradun and other local government areas.

It was also gathered that, monetary inducement has been made to influence the returning officers to accept the new deal and alter the result sheets as planned.

INEC national headquarters need to take a thorough check at the shoddy deal allegedly taking place within its legal department hence someone within its legal team is masterminding the alleged change of result of Zamfara Governorship poll due to his family relationships with the PDP Governor elect.
