We're fast beginning to throw a lot of things away from the words of truth from the scriptures because we present day Christian now tend to hold on more to what a man says.
Systematic Theology as popular or as celebrated it is still totally relies on Biblical Theology and in some cases, some systematic theological presentations go completely against the contents of the scriptures.
"Systematic theology has a lot of humanity in it and a lot of selfish dictations chiseled to promote the philosopher and his Philosophy much more than God."
So we as society tend to think that due to the stereotypical conditioning of the minds of many to think that if an old preacher says something it's absolutely correct because he's been preaching for 30 years, 40 years, 50 years etc is an error.
What an old preacher says isn't correct or right just because he's old.
One can be doing the wrong things "systematically" for 20 years, 30 years, 40 years, 50 years and more and profit from it, but making money doesn't mean "it's right or it's correct"
Experience means nothing without righteousness. You might just be dealing with an experienced law breaker or law bender.

The question to ask is not how old or how successful is the person preaching?
The question to ask is;
WHAT IS THE RIGHT THING??

Am I being taught "The right thing"?

Apostle Paul advised us to always look at the scriptures to find out "exactly" what it says about an issue.
Biblical Theology and perspectives always stand above all systematic interpretations.
