It the first harvest from different varieties of crops on my 15 acres farm.
The output is encouraging despite inconsistent water supply.
The best bet is irrigation system which is in progress.

This is the second truck load trip to market
What is the cost of truck load or per tonnage please?

Keep your extremely stinky, prickly, little, fast fingers in check, and your unwitty brain away from advising someone how to spend the money he laboured for.

Perhaps you're one very lazy man whose every days are spent in a temple rather than workplaces. You'd rather someone gave these to churches filled with big tummy-stomach pastors than to the lean people dying of hunger in this starvation dispensation.

Very wicked are Africans!

"...church mosque or help and bless people)..."

Did you read the part in bold or you just chose to ignore it?

Thanks; One time premergence chemical weed control using contact herbicide . Two times manual weeding with hoe at 4 weeks and 8 weeks.

Nice one , your farm looks neat and weed-free. most melon farm i had visited always are always full of weeds, it appears farmers find it hard to control weed once the vines start tangling. will you mind sharing how you manage to control your weed on that large acreage.?

It depends on sizes of your output. Usually you have
1st set, 2nd set and 3rd set.
In our local market the size of Melon and the truck type used to carry you produce to market determine your selling price.
1st and 2nd set goes to Lagos Market at market gate price at farm gate? The price is usually lesser.

Also the Ramadan period is the surest time for maximum gain but you've got to irrigate the melon.

You really tried man. 2 times manual weeding of 15 acres of veggies is not cost effective. In my area labourers charge almost 20k per acre.
There are some pre emergence herbicides that are veggie friendly that u can mix with that your contact herbicide that will reduce your manual weeding to one time. You can lay your hands on products that contain either pendimethalin or Metholachlor as a.i. If you are not comfortable using them, u may experiment with one or two plots of the whole portion of the farm and compare with your usual method. if you spray well, esp on a moist soil , u will definitely see the diff.
