Doesn’t matter if you’re in sales or you’re just an intern and you’ve been called to make a presentation.

These are guaranteed ways to make a presentation

1. Do your research.

Research is one of the most important ingredients when making a terrific presentation.

Know the subject matter, know the audience, know their paint points, know the stats and facts.

Before you present.. Research.
2. Start with a story — A gripping one

Remember that even tho people think decision making is logical.

It’s only logical when they’ve first made an emotional connection to it

Stories are to humans
What stats are to Android

When story telling meet data.. people take action

3. Repeat a phrase.

This is something you should think hard about.. it should encapsulates the core of your message..

Why?

Give people 10 things to remember and they’ll hardly remember one..

Give them 1 they’ll forget none.
4. If in person - Use the space ..

Moving about.. helps keep your audience engaged.

It keeps their mind active, plus it helps your confidence.

If online - use your hands.

Ensure the camera is positioned in a way that your hands are visible

Communication is 8% verbal
And 92% non verbal.

So your movement, your gesticulations helps your audience assimilate your message faster.
5. Energy and Voice Tone.

Different audiences will react to different voice tones.

The way a pastor preaches, and a sales person presents is different from how you audition..

This ties back to rule 1. Do your research.

Generally tho, high energy is better than an apathy.
6. Notes, Slides and Props

If in person ensure your notes or props are set and are relevant.

If online use more pictures.. less words.

Remember One picture is worth a thousand words
7. Last but not least..

Breathe... slowly in and out.

Presenting to any audience is always tense.

And no matter how experienced you are, there’s always the tendency to panic and rush your words.

Remember to breathe in *pause*
Breathe out* pause.

It slows ur heart rate
And reduces tension.

And there you have it.

7 guaranteed steps to make a killer presentation to any audience.
