Do Nigerians Really Hate Bad Governance? by Onyiridike(f): 10:06am On May 14, 2023
During Yaradua's regime, Nigeria had plans to be among the top 20 best economy in the world. This great plan gave birth to the so-called vision 2020.

Gradually, everything started moving the downward trend until Buhari happened to us and we went so low that we may never bounce back in 10 years even with the most financial frugal leader like Peter Obi.

1. Are we really concerned about good leadership or we just want the leader to come from our tribe or religion no matter how bad he/she is?
2. Do we really care about our dwindling economy and the fact that naira is worthless?
3. How can a tiny country like Gambia have a better economy than Nigeria?

An average Nigerian is in love with evil in as much as he/she will benefit from it.

In all of these, I have listened to great men discuss Nigerian political and economic situations and I have come to the realization that our problem is not really education or industrialization. I listened to captains of industries with all sorts of degrees, certifications and experience discuss Nigerian political and socioeconomic challenges and I gave up on Nigeria. Everyone of them was simply defending their tribe and religion. Nobody spoke with facts or tried to analyze the situation and come up with solutions. My fear is that some of them might become governors, ministers or even president in the near future.
The cancer working against Nigerian progress is simply ethnicity and religion. Till thy kingdom come, 3 major tribes with different traditions, ideology, culture and mindset can never coexist peacefully and creat a path to greatness.
