People blame politicians for the toxicity and hate among the youths. But this is just a case of justifying and encouraging this very silly behaviours, by making stupid excuses for it.

If you keep insisting that insulting politicians is okay with the excuse that 'they are corrupt' , cancelling and abusing Old and young who share opposite political opinion with the lame excuse that 'you are fighting for better Nigeria' ..... then what of these unwarranted, inexcusable hate on foreigners who did nothing wrong?

It all started in 2012 when some people started calling a sitting president goatluck. Not only that, a lot of notable names and figures in Nigeria's public space openly and tacitly supported them with some even joining, e.g. El-Ruffian.
Since then, a lot of youths think it's OK to abuse or deride anyone not in your camp from a micro- level to a macro- level.
